Dang you disapeared for while.
Is Roddy better than Barea? To me that's all that matters.
If you have to put Terry at backup point and
let Roddy be the 2 the do it.
Just get Barea off the court because everything Carlisle is affraid Roddy will do Barea does anyways.
Yeah, I haven't been around much lately.
I think Beaubois is LOADS better than Barea - potentially - but at the moment he has quite a few defensive lapses. Of course, he is also capable of some amazing plays, including a great block last night against the Lakers in his four minutes and change on the court.
Barea is what he is, and will never be more than that, but he has Carisle's trust that he will run the plays, regardless of the fact that he is a defensive sieve. Once Roddy tightens up his D and plays to his potential - he certainly has the athleticism to cover the water-bug PG's like Paul, Parker, Deron Williams, Ellis, etc. in the West, it's just a matter of him putting it all together.
Here's hoping he puts it together quick.
As for Terry, I would rather keep him solely at the 2, whether Barea plays or not. He is at his best taking the pass and shooting. I love JET, but I do not want him distributing the ball. His finishes on the fast break are cringe-worthy. He and Josh Howard were our two worst players on the fast break (okay, three - Damp is in the conversation, but "fast" is never something you would put anywhere in the same vicinity as Damp), and now one of them is gone.
