The Mavs have dug themselves a hole...no, make that a crater...tonight after this lousy performance against the Warriors, losing 109-91 and being down in the series 2-1. There really isn't any excuse for this pathetic performance by the Mavericks. They were out-coached, out-hustled, out-played, out-everything really and I don't see how they can recover from it unless they can do a complete overhaul of their play and figure their opponent out. But by the time they do, I'm afraid that it's going to be too late because when they thought that they had figured it out in Game 2 by starting their big men and not going with "small ball", they use the same strategy tonight and it completely backfired on them.
One thing's for sure, this opponent isn't playing like a #8 seed is expected to play and sadly, the Mavericks aren't playing like the #1 seed that they're suppose to be. And that's got to be the most frustrating thing of all when you consider that this entire season was built on getting back to the NBA Finals and getting it right this time by not letting the championship ball slip through their greasy paws like they did last year against Miami when they had it virtually locked up.
I'm not only thorughly embarrassed right now as a fan of this team...
...I'm devastated as well.
