Mavs win first pick in NBA lottery

It sets up very well for the Spurs with picks 2, 14, and 38.
2 Dylan Harper Rutgers
14 Thomas Sorber Georgetown
38 trade up into the 20's and get either Rasheer Fleming St. Joe's or Maxime Raynaud Stanford.

None of that will matter for being great next year.
In 3 years, sure!!! Spurs definitely will be good for a long time.

But if you go get Giannis and focus on winning next year those 3 guys are being traded off in the deal to be good now.
There is always a pressure to be good early in a superstar's career (Wemby) to keep him in the fold.

The Spurs last won 35 games in 2018. They should make a big leap forward but again long way forma laep to jumping into OKC/Minny/BOS/NYK level title contention.

NBA has BILLIONS of dollars on the line and shuffle guys where they want them in at least some cases.

The Knicks got Ewing.

NBA needed a face in: LA and got Luka moved there then rewarded Dallas with Flagg.
I love it for Dallas but man it sucks as an NBA fan.

How does Flagg to Dallas work for Luka...if Dallas doesn't get decimated by injuries after the trade? This franchise looked cursed almost immediately after the trade. It doesn't, Dallas isn't a play in team...they would have been a playoff team.

Unless your saying all the injuries weren't real?

They likely get a 4th seed at minimum. Instead, you had a team that could barely put out the minimum amount of players some nights.
A team that even won the 1st play in game.
A team that gets a different pick if Chicago doesn't hit a 3/4 court buzzer beater against the Lakers


While I do think there are some shady activities in the NBA....this one just doesn't make sense given what all happened

That’s the part the “rigged” community can’t answer. Why would teams like Raptors and Wiz agree to the Mavs getting a pick and them getting screwed lol.

I can entertain conspiracies I just can’t if no one has a reason why. No one can make sense why if it’s rigged why didn’t they give Flagg to z Utah?
