Unfortunately, I have to live here and put up with "Houston Fan." They have made me a hater of every pro team in town sans the Astros. And I'm wavering on them.

I'm a huge Mavs fan, and I saw the same stuff with them that I do with the Cowboys -- pulling against the Dallas team MORE than pulling for your own team.

Maybe it's just the people he hangs with. I'm a Rockets fan, and I don't have any kinda any animosity towards the Mavs or their fans.

And you're right, the Rockets championships is something I can always hold onto as consolation. Unfortunately their playoff drought began about the same time as the Cowboys drought, so I don't see the need to get caught in a pissing match when someone can always come back with a shot about either one.

Yeah, it's a familiar situation with Cowboys and Eagles fans this decade. "You guys haven't won a division title in ten years!" "Uh, how many Super Bowls have YOU guys won?"

And I can't believe I just compared myself to an Eagles fan just now.

To lift my spirits, I'm thinking of picking up a book titled "Next Year's Champions: The Story of the Dallas Cowboys". It was published in 1969.
