Why would Pickens agree to a trade that would send him to a QB-needy team? That was one of his issues with the Steelers.

And don't say he doesn't have any control over where he goes under a tag and trade cuz he does. All he has to do is refuse to sign any future long-term deal.

Jerry knows his days are numbered and if he wants to raise that Lombardi one more time, he better get aggressive. I would say he has shown signs of making an attempt by getting Big Q...so why should he stop there knowing that that's not enough to get the job done. Drafting a DE isn't going to make an impact soon enough for how small the window is...so he better go after an established player who has the contract that not difficult to navigate.

Jerry says every year he wants to win a SB more than anything. He says he would right a check that no one could imagine. However, in reality he does the opposite.
 
Only reason why I would say go for both is because any draft picks we have now will be on their second contract before we actually commit to a rebuild anyway.

Dak is going to get another extension.

Jerry’s around another five years.

Cowboys will likely still be waiting for a Super Bowl appearance.

We’re looking at 2031, so they might as well just do whatever they want between now and then.

Maxx Crosby in heartbeat. Not even a second thought. Here’s how I look at it. We have a 4000 yard passer, two 1000 yard WRs and a 1000 yard RB and we’re below.500. We probably wouldn’t get to 500 if we didn’t play 2 of the worst teams in the league to finish up the season. Point being, offense is not our problem. Defense is our problem. Give me Maxx, Clark, Q, Osa and Eze as our defensive line and I’ll take Lamb, Ferguson, Flo and anyone else we bring in on offense.

Now if Jerry was a man of his word. Big IF there, like massive big IF then he would get it done and keep GP and acquire Crosby. If Jerry was a man of his word then we wouldn’t have to choose between Maxx and GP.

We’re probably more in the market for Henderson tbh. Keep Pickens both in real life and in a vacuum. Younger and bolsters the strengths of the team

What would you suggest he offer in trade that would definitely be better than any other team would offer?
