Maybe Carpenter steps it up this year

Well it is the off season, and you hardly ever hear out coaching staff say anything negative about anyone on the team. So we should take the comments with a grain of salt IMO.

This is the first time I've heard comments like this about Carpenter. Usually it's a "he's a hardworker" coach-speak type response.

Why is it always the coaches or fellow players are lying. Ive never heard Brian Stewart, Wade Phillips or Demarcus Ware ever lie or try to mislead people. Bill Parcells sure but these guys? Come on.

The amazing thing to me is that it seems like some people on here want him to fail just so they can be right about it. It apparently causes physical pain for them to hope he does well.

The amazing thing to me is that everyone seems to be an expert on some player who hasn't been on the field long enough to prove wether or not he can play in this league.

After listening to Wade's comments at the end of last season about how the coaching staff screwed up last preseason with Carp, I'm pretty convinced we are going to see Carp on the field much more this year.

Until proven one way or another, there are nothing but questions marks about Carp. I'm not saying he will be great or he will suck. I'm just saying we don't really know.

Just from combining tidbits in player interviews during the season last year and this year, it seems like he's a well-liked player on the team. He always says the right things in interviews, too. It'd be a real plus if he could become a legitimate contributor for us this year.

I think that DABoys4Life has an agenda, but what it is, I have no idea. Maybe Carp banged his girl in school, or maybe he looks like some kid that took his lunch money. When Carp played, he did well. It is not his fault that Phillips screwed him over last year.

To say that Carp sucks because he didn't play last year is idiotic. What happens if Spencer sits behind Ellis this year? Will DABoys say he sucks to?

Even if Carp is just a backup this year, his special teams play is excellent. Even if he turns out to be another Billy Bates, I would be pleased we took him. Bates would be worth a first round pick right now.

I just ownder why people hate Carp. Especially when someone comes out so vehemently against a player. It just isn't worth hating like that, especially when the guy is on your team!

I dislike Adam Jones. Don't think we should have picked him up. But I am not going to make my concerns my life's work.
