Maybe coach has a real plan for this team

I’m a big believer that in the NFL you have to be really good at the game within the actual game. I think the Cowboys went into this game with the intentions of not showing anything new to the Eagles. I think they ran a very conservative game plan, shot them selves in the foot with the turnovers, they didn’t adjust very much. Last week they showed a lot by running CeeDee on them jet sweeps, but it was needed to open things up against a team that surprised us early on. They didn’t adjust to the Texans RPO today, which infuriated me until I started to think that maybe they got something for the RPO that the Eagles will run against us in a few weeks and didn’t want to give them two weeks to dissect, instead the Eagles will have a halftime break to adjust. Maybe, just maybe coach has a real plan for this team and it’s bigger than looking amazing against the team that will be picking first in next 2 drafts.

What do you guys think?

I don’t know if they did, but you really can’t takes wins for granted in the nfl. Silly approach if they acted like this was preseason gimme win.

You’re overthinking it. Occam’s Razor - the Cowboys putzed around and were outplayed for 58 minutes.

I agree, but that’s the game within the game. Honestly if we don’t turn the ball over we don’t looks so damn bad. I think the key like any other week was to not turn it over and we did unfortunately.

I think you give them too much credit. They are not that smart. Think about it, they almost lost his game just to keep something from the Eagles. When if fact they should have pulled out all the stops to keep pace with the Eagles.

One will never know what happens afterward had Turpin not fumbled that punt, but that completely changed the complexion of the game. Houston scored 23 points and 14 were off turnovers setting the Texans up in the Red Zone.

It’s a nice, viable theory that I hope is right!

We got thoroughly outcoached. Nobody in Dallas was preparing for the two headed QB they threw at us and it showed.

Nice attempt to come up with a good excuse for this putrid play. But no, don't think that was the intention. They just weren't prepared properly and really just sucked big time. They were saved by the fact it was the Texans. Got out of there limping with a narrow win. But so be it. Another game next week and let's see how that one unfolds. Jax beat up on the Titans today, so they sure ain't gonna be easy pickings.

Tragic we have to go to such lengths to be optimistic in this team. What a joke. No other fan base has to do this pathetic attempt to make up for such putrid and pathetic play.

this is what years of losing has done to this fan base. I feel for you OP.

Amazing the lengths some will go to convince themselves this isn't the same old Cowboys.

In my defense I hate the Texans and their idiotic fans almost as much as I hate Eagles and Giants. I’m from Houston and live here so I’m really needing something to keep me from losing my ish but I still stand by my theory at the sane time.
