See, now, who would open a thread with a title like that?

To the point, though: anyone see Wade's last question in his presser today? I can't believe an actual reporter actually asked him to his face whether or not he thought his job might be in jeopardy with a loss this weekend. I understand there's stupid speculation on NY blogs to this effect, but that's just insulting after going 13-3. Insulting and stupid. To his credit, Wade looked incredulous and answered 'no.'

Yes, that was a very interesting question.

To be honest, I don't think the question is out-of-bounds and I believe that is something that could be in play if we don't win Sunday.

Seriously? I don't. I agree that there's a unique situation in Dallas because of the presence of JG as a coach-in-waiting, but it's real a stretch to think that our head office wouldn't have seen this coming and provided for it. Certainly, they wouldn't fire Wade on a performance basis, which is what the question implied.

In any event, I think Wade shouldn't have to answer such nonsense with a playoff game upcoming and a limited number of questions in a given press conference.

"If you're murdered who would you like to do the autopsy?" Some questions have that feel to them.

seriously stupid question, not relevant at all.

half the press conference was about romo going to mexico again.

The dfw media is simply terrible sans archer and breer. The rest of the guys should be ashamed.

I didnt recognize the voice of the guy who asked wade if he worried about his future...

sounded like a local guy, but I am not sure who, it might have been reeves.

It was Orsborn, who has written lately that he thinks Wade's job could be in jeopardy. Not sure why he's been on that trail lately.

I'm ready for Wade's team to blow these punks out and shut up all these mediots.

Thanks cl, not sure why I didnt recognize his voice.

it was inevitable, Why there has not been one article about ellis and ware and what they do to that giants offense every time we play them is beyond me, but you know what wade did in denver and what romo did in mexico is more important I guess.

Really, it was Orsborn? That's unfortunate. Good think he got Wade on record, though.

JMO, I think Wade Phillips losing his job if we don't win Sunday is very much in play.

There are some circumstances that make this a huge possibility.

In all Honesty though. i really think Wade's Job is on the Line sunday. If we don't win i think the guy is out really. I think Jones would rather hire JG as the head coach then see him leave to say the Skins or something.

It was a stupid question. Phillips has done a bang up job this season and no way should his job be in jeapordy.

It's pretty bad when Dallas fans are more upset with the Dallas and NY media that they are with the opposing team.

If we want to make JG the head coach for next season, we'll do it regardless of what happens in the playoff game. Win or lose, we wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger if the plan was to keep JG. But the notion that we'd have a 13-3 coach on a hot seat is laughable, and the fact that someone in the press thought this was a smart question to ask the head coach to his face on the eve of a playoff game is absurd.

The only way I believe Wade's job would be in jeapordy is in the context of how we lost. If we totally fell apart, looked unprepared I don't think Wade would be for long. If we played competitively in a loss that would be another matter.
