Yesterday afternoon on the way home Mayock was asked who he would pick if he was the GM. He said

Wentz or Goff with no hesitation

If both of those players were gone his next two would be either;

Zeke or Bosa...

He gave comparisons and some overview for each. I will try and capture everything;
Wentz-compared him to Luck. However he did say he does not have the reps Luck had coming out and has a larger downside because of that coming out.
Goff-compared him to Ryan-said he has the same zip and measureables as Ryan---
Bosa-said he is not going to be the flashy sack guy but he is going to be consistent and a force on the DL--was asked about Spence lasting until Rd 2 and he said he didn't think he would last that long..
Zeke-out of the bunch the one with the best chance behind the Dallas OL to have an immediate impact--if neither of the QBs are available it would be hard decision between Zeke/Bosa--said there is several quality RBs which will be available in rds 3-5
He did answer a question about the over-hyped Henry--said in his opinion Henry was not worth a 2nd rd pick and he felt he would slip into rd 3

Hopefully I captured it all pretty good stuff if you want one of those four guys imo.

I'm saying yesa to Bosa if:
  • They do not take a QB.
  • They do not take Ramsey if he is averrable.
  • They do not take Zeke.
He may not be an elite player but he instantly makes the d-line better. I'll take it.

The only way I'm saying yes is if the first three picks are Ramsey, Jack, and Wentz. Those won't be the three picks.

Did Mayock describe Henry as over-hyped?

Not sure I heard those words he did say he felt he would slip into the 3rd round but would also do well behind the OL if drafted by the cowboys. He gave the impression he wouldn't excel as a 3 down back but would excel as a back running through a hole.

I see major bust factor with Bosa. Not a fan in the top 10

I don't see bust factor but I don't see a Canton bust in his future. In any other draft he would probably be a top ten pick. Unfortunately, in this draft he is top five.

Dallas would do everyone a favor by taking a QB.

Luckily Mayock won't be deciding. We will walk away with an elite athlete at 4. Ramsey or Jack.

Hilarious how much flack Mayock gets until he agrees with someone's agenda. There are several thread on the main page with claims of how much this guy is an idiot and doesn't know anything and is constantly wrong, but once he agrees with someone, "See Mayock says so!" If anything, this guys stance on the QB's terrifies me at the thought of taking one.

I'm losing years on my life stressing over which qb the Browns will take at 2...

I'm leaning towards Cleveland taking Goff...which doesn't make me happy...

I'm not sold on taking wentz at 4...I'm getting nervous thinking about this hahah
