Not a big fan Mayock's work on the draft.

Mayock is the man. Now that other sniveling weasle McShay, I could do without.

I'm happy to see Quinn may find his way to us. Maybe even Sherrod or Carimi in the second.

I actually think/feel Mayock is better than Kiper & McShay. Seems to know the actual strengths and weaknesses of the players better than everyone else.

Agree..

His rankings here are fluid - he admitted that he did not begin ranking any of the junior eligibles until the NFL officially released the list.

That being said, he's spot on in his assessment that this is one of the worst senior classes in memory.

Agree, I really respect his work. He has a good eye.

Yeah he lost me last year when he said McCoy would be a better pro than SUH and SUH would struggle cause he had no moves and McCoy was more disruptive than SUH and then he proceded to rank McCoy ahead os SUh

I like the fact that Mayock gives a lot of detail in his analysis, not just a bunch of fluff and vague generalized statements about a prospect.

The problem with Mayock in my eyes/experience is that he's been patently wrong on some top prospects.

One clear example that comes to mind was Darren McFadden.

He goes out on a limb like all draft analysts and hits and misses on prospects. I don't hold that against him. It's just the fact that he goes into so much detail to almost build-up a case for or against a player that when he misses, such as the case with McFadden, it leaves you wondering like "what in the world are you watching Mayock?"

If I remember, the Cowboys scouts had McCoy rated ahead of Suh as well. He wasn't the only one.

well we also had a lot of O line prospects at least a round lower in evaluation than just about everyone else. I am thinking that we need to look at shaking up our scouting staff.

I`ve been thinking about starting a thread about the scouting staff for the last couple of weeks. I don`t know who is in charge , but it needs some tweeking. Maybe some of the other CZ members have a breakdown of the scouting staff. They need some help with the OL and DL positions.
