You KNEW they were going to have a rematch before the fight ever took place.

I recall them saying there was a no rematch clause in the contract and I was thinking that was pure BS even if they did have the clause they would still do a rematch because there would be too much money in it.

It is most likely 18 months to 2 years out. Manny had surgery on his shoulder rehab time is 9-12 months. I am not buying it but if someone invites me over i will watch it.

Not sure that there will be much public interest in a rematch - the results the second time won't be any different.

I won't pay for this one, extremely boring.

I miss the Tyson fights except the part where they were usually over before I started on my 2nd beer

A couple weeks ago I spent a whole morning watching some of Tyson's knockouts. That man, during his prime, was as scary as any boxer I've ever seen. He was so damn fast and so damn powerful. There were knockouts where you couldn't even see the punch until the replay and then in slow-mo, you see this concentration of pure violence in this lightning fast uppercut that you could only really appreciate in slow-mo. Just amazing stuff.

I won't pay or watch this one.

No way lol

I didn't pay to watch the first one. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Besides, I would rather see this fight.

Lol Holyfield.... My favorite. More than Tyson not because he best him... But because he was a true warrior.

Man, did he master that bob and weave and jack in the box type pop to the head.

Double punch. One punch with his left to the body and a millisecond later a left to the head.

Boxing is dead..dead dead dead I tell you. I'll pay so they stop talking about it, just like baseball.

The problem is that there's just not much excitement anymore. Tyson was the last real exciting fighter. Even if you don't think he compares with the greats of the 70s like Ali, you have to admit he was at least entertaining. There's just no one like that these days.

When you fight with your arms up... Not your hands... But your arms... To avoid being hit.
Then when you are about to be hit you run backwards or side to side... There is little chance of excitement.

Tyson was exciting but so was Holyfield. He had fights that were more entertaining than Tyson's. He was in 12 round wars. Throwing massive combinations.

Tyson > Holyfield

Just flat out wrong.

Holyfield was a cruiser weight beatng up heavyweights. Sometimes being outweighed by 40+ lbs.

Holyfield was better champion. He could drive and putt.
Tyson could only drive.

It's a lot cooler to drive than it is to putt-putt. ;)

Holyfield beat a shadow of prime Tyson. Prime Tyson knocks Holyfield out within 4 rounds. Lennox Lewis too.

And that "true warrior" was a steroid abuser.
