Mazi Breakout Incoming?

Take is spot on. Watch him, he's hot garbage

Guy is a freak athlete but a terrible football player.
Mazi is like a lot of gifted athletes in college football; they are the fastest, strongest, quickest players on the field and thus can dominate strictly in their innate athletic.ability.
However, in pro football, that athletic edge is gone as most NFL players are just as fast, strong and quick; therefore, one must mitigate that by working on technique, proper nutrition/conditioning; film study and knowing the roles within the defensive scheme. Failure to do so and the player is left to their own devices…football is a job…and if you can’t do the work you don’t play; nothing is handed to you because you were a good college player.
Maybe that is why a lot of the best players aren’t necessarily the best athletes, but they do all the other things required to make them great football players; they know the job and they know what it takes to do the job at a high level and they do it.

I'm not all worked up about Mazi not being a superstar. Not his fault the Cowboys picked him way too early! I think he can be a solid rotational guy. What's the big deal?

I will give him his 3rd year. However, it is his 3rd coach, 3rd defensive scheme in that time.
That is not an excuse though. Still his 3rd year. He has played enough football that it should not be that big of a difference.

Either he steps up or he is gone.
Yes that may be a good reason to be hopeful if he had been average or decent. But he's been absolutely dreadful and outplayed by undrafted guys
