I was hoping his playing weight would be around 320-325
That 310-315lbs. screams position flex, as if the staff
would rather have that position flex than a stout run stuffer.

Hard to have faith when it comes to the way we've handled the tackle position.

True, most NTs are around 325. But (not saying he's like him) Aaron Donald was nowhere near 325 lbs. and was very effective at DT (though not at NT much), so strength is a factor as well, and wasn't Mazi supposedly very strong? 34 reps on the bench press is pretty good, not Larry Allen good, but he's had an off season to work on strength.

Like you said, there's always hope. I have no hope for the Cowboys to win a SB, so hoping for good things for Mazi is something at least!
