Technique.and every other skill that prevents most rookies including 1st rounders from becoming all pros their 1st year..if you think all he needs to do is push really hard, especially against people who train all day on how to counter that, then i dont know what to tell you.

I don't know if he'll be a star but i know we need more than 2 preseason games to determine it

I’m now questioning the point of drafting him. If it takes him 2-3 yrs to become worth anything then why waste the draft pick, just go sign someone who has already turned the light switch on. by the time Mazi develops, he will want a new contract.

Be patient with any Dt. He's a rookie. Might take 8 weeks before we see improvement. He was the right pick.

The guy takes on two blockers at once and lets the linebackers flow clean to the ball. The Cowboys haven't had a DT that consistently did that in forever.

If you're waiting on Mazi to put up Chris Jones sack numbers get ready to be disappointed. He wasn't drafted to do that and he won't be asked to play like that, at least not right away.

He hasn’t done well but idk why people are expecting flash. His job is create opportunities for the other guys flash. That said sure, he needs to do better. But he’s not going to be Laroi Glover

If he stinks again next week they’ll have to merge all the Mazi threads. We just have to hope his struggles are as simple as he needs some time to adjust. I remember fans saying the same thing about Taco.

This guy has not been taking on two blockers, he was getting pushed around yesterday. I'm not expecting sacks from him. I agree with op, I'm not seeing the strength for supposedly strongest player in draft
