Mazi: I've never had a pass rush plan

I am a fan of his response and his coaches. You don't want those guys thinking. Don't jump offsides, bench press the 2 guys in front of you and If you get close to someone with the ball pounce on them.

sounds a lot like montavious stanley in 06. He was like i didn't have many sacks in college but i sure am going to get them now.

Stanley was a very late pick and didn't carry the same weight.

If Mazi has never been introduced to a pass rush plan in college, here's hoping it's not the case when he joins the Cowboys!

I'm betting that changes to some extent worth mentioning when he's a C'boy! It may not be mentioned a lot but surely not ignored.

I do think coming from Stanley that task seemed to be a pipe dream. Not sure what Mazi can accomplish, but he has a lot to work with.

Hill should have been a better pass rusher than he was. He had good quickness and size, but didn't know how to use it and couldn't seem to learn. If only we had had something to clue us in to that ...

I think in heavy sets, they’ll probably play Hankins as the 1T and put Mazi as the 3T some when they’re expecting run. If the offense decides to pass against that instead of run, Smith will have some chances to rush the QB.

That's what I'm expecting. Create some one-on-one matches for him while Hankins takes on the double.
