Mazi or Guyton, who are you ready to go to battle with?

leave it to some in here, they've already got their jackets!!!
Everyone needs to understand my post.
I guess I should explain it.

Once they are vested in the NFL, then retire. After 5 years, they will be eligible. Does not mean they will be considered.

You can try and be a wise guy all you want with your fancy numbers and stuff, but they don't even have to play 5 years, they're ready to go right now!!

Mazi was a jag in college and that hasn't changed. His size and strength weren't much of a factor at the lower level and is a non factor in the NFL. Slow to develop technique he can be an ok rotational depth player but he's far from a monster. They need to stop drafting high when the combine tests do not meet college production.

Guyton will hopefully get better. He was a better player at RT in college and if he had played RT he would have been ok. Making him switch to LT did him zero favors but maybe with another offseason under him he will improve.

I'm sorry but I don't know what they saw in mazi, I guess the jumping up the steps and workouts he was doing was enough to say he's a great players. Only to see him get pushed around like he's a feather!

Lots of question marks for both players, one has been in the league a few more years, both have the potential to be solid players in the league. With that said, they've struggled as first round picks, but we shouldn't write them off and continue to be patient.

With that said, which player would you pick to go to battle with?? Please give your thoughts

Please refrain from all negative attacks as this is clearly stated in the rules of this forum!
Is this a real post????? C'mon man, where are the lights and cameras??????? If this post is legit, the answer to it should be NEITHER!

Simple answer…..Mazi is two seasons in, Guyton one, so you go with Guyton…but we are fortunate enough to have both.

They asked a lot of Guyton last year, and who knows what went on with the weight loss/gain with Mazi in his rookie year.

Same. They saw his measurables but they forgot that those same measurables did nothing in college. That's an issue because if height, weight, strength are going to help they typically help in college and are somewhat mitigated at the professional level. Same reason taco was drafted early and it's not just the cowboys organization these busts were high on most boards in the draft.

NFL coaches disagree with you. Even before the draft the talk was of him moving to the left side.

He played RT in college being the blindside tackle to a left handed QB.
I remember Tyron talking about playing RT vs playing LT and he said it takes time to adjust. And he was a LOT more experienced in college then Guyton was

Bottom line is was a BIG mistake to throw Guyton to the wolves in his first season

Mazi had first rd measurements but third rd tape

Guyton had first rd measurements and maybe second rd tape

Because you never looked into it.

Searching for pre-draft player analysis is simple yet you still don't do it.
Lol lol you whole world saw it, he was jumping up steps and lifting some crazy weight on a machine, came out and said he doesn't even like football he just likes to hit people! Turned around and he was the victim!!!

If the K state OL coach Schott brought in is who we’ve been led to believe why wouldn’t he be able to coach up the Ok Sooner K State faced two short yrs ago .

I mean you look at Guyton at his size and potential I can see a high draft pick potential . I don’t get the same vibe from Mazi . I get Trysten Hill type apathy . He’s playing his way out of any consideration for a second contract .

I did and I agree with him. His tape NEVER equaled his measurements
the boys screwed the pooch on him.
Thanks he just likes to be mad for no reason, we ALL saw the videos of him working out etc/game highlight films, none of that transitioned into an NFL. Has he shown some growth yea, but we want to see more that's all!
