Without a doubt an excellent performance, he seems to be a really good all around back.

This guy to me, is better than TT, yea he's hometown grown, but i dont care, MB3 is just more a complete back, and may not have the speed but to me is better than TT overall.

He's a cross between Thomas and TT. He's sure handed and physical like Thomas, with some of the speed of TT. He seems to have a little more wiggle than either also. I think in the next few weeks he will have proven himself enough that A-Train is released or benched(ie. Price). If you watched the game, Barber did a good job of picking up the blitz, and catching screen passes, as well as being a tough between the tackle runner. These are the things that Thomas is here for.

MB played better than I thought he would. Saw him pick up and hold off a blitzer up the gut for several seconds while Drew looked downfield, might have been his best play.

I agree.
I have been down him but today he looked very good.
He still showed a little bit too much desire to bounce outside but he might be the best screen back we have had here since Dorsett.

He didn't make any mistakes that I saw which is key if he wants to keep getting carries. I love our depth at RB but just which they weren't so easy to pigeon-hole into certian plays.

he just had a chance to display the talent that got him drafted in the 4th round of a pretty good RB draft. Some fans just rushed to judgement after a few shaky plays. Parcells has said all along that he really liked him. The injury just set him back a bit.

We have an excellent stable of RB's. Barber, TT, and Jones should keep us set for a while. Thomas has some nice runs too. I loved the effort he put forth on the goal line near the end of the game, he just kept churning and avoided the safety.

looked nervous on his first few carries, then started looking good. I still like the pick. Actually, I am very happy with Barber and Thompson. I don't think we need to pay A-Train to stick around, although I enjoy the "name" threat being on the roster.

I noticed that too, on more than one occasion. He blocked the right guy and made a GOOD, SOLID block on the guy. He ran hard, hit the creases, and held on to the ball despite the little Gmen probing and prying at it everytime. He also looks great catching passes. I thought he was a steal in the 4th. I like him quite a bit but I was afraid he had fallen in BP's doghouse.
I think he's a step ahead of TT, better than AT, and with more experience he could be nearly as good as JJ.
Can't believe that we've run a few successful screen passes, we haven't been able to do that in many years...

Maybe we'll sit AT for good and let our three outstanding young RBs do their thing. Clearly JJ is the best of the three, but IMO MBIII is the second best RB on the team.

Gotta agree -- seems like BP wanted to showacse him today. I like how he runs hard. He breaks tackles that none of the other rbs seem to...

Its funny how one game sways so many of you guy's opinions. Last week, TT is our second best running back, and some even claim he may be better than JJ. Now Barber gets more carries, and hes 2nd best? Which one is it? Im just happy with our depth and wouldn't be that worried if ANY THREE of the young backs was our starter.

Yeah, it does kind of make you think that these guys should be given a chance to "earn" their reputations around here. I've always liked the Barber pick, and I've been waiting for him to get his chance. I think he did something with the opportunity today. I was surprised that we didn't see more of Tyson though.

Fans are fickle. They are almost always going to cheer for the guy having a good performance that helps the team win.

I think Barber is a work in progress, but I was kind of confused by the many fans that had seemingly given up on the guy already.

lol, that is too funny, all I see is JJ as our franchise runner, and TT and MB3 as talented understudies
