Unleash the stiff arm. The Roundhouse. The Punch. Whatever you want to call it, Barber has to get his nasty back.

Not that he hasn't been playing well, but he was literally feared when he had that club in his arsenal. Let's take it to another level.

He needs to go back to his aggressive style from 2007. Injuries have affected his play, but the biggest change has to be his running style. Someone may have advised him to tone it down a bit.

Some announcer (don't remember who) once said that Barber ran like every play was the last play of his life. He doesn't run like that anymore.

His stiff arm was banned this year, hence why he isn't as aggressive as usual. Another Cowboy player related rule.

Not true but common misconception, the stiff arm is not outlawed.

He looked good last week. I think he will continue his play Sunday. He wasn't overused this year and he is healthy. I expect big things from the running game on Sunday. Philly can't stop our run.

From a news article:

Charean Williams of The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that the league will emphasize to officials this season that stiff arms to the face should result in a 15-yard penalty. N.F.L. rules already say that “hands cannot be thrust forward above the frame to contact an opponent on the neck, face or head,” so the instruction to officials to call such penalties is not a rules change, just a point of emphasis. The league’s Competition Committee believes that the rule has not been adequately enforced in the past.

MBIII does look like a different runner. To me, he looks like he takes a little skip and bounce before he decides where to go!

He used to just get the ball and hit the hole right away, but, lately he does that little hesitation skip and bounce before taking off. Kinda makes me mad...just hit the damn hole and stop hesitating.

In some ways it may be a good thing that Barber is running a little differently now. He used to put himself through some pretty hellish contact and I was always worried that he'd get injured or tire out before season's end. Perhaps he's just pacing himself and we'll see some of the Barbarian inside during the playoffs. It's win or go home now.
