We will not have a QB controversy next year but what about a RB controversy?

What controversy?

Felix = Toss Left

Barber = Toss Right

Choice = Delay Draw

Done. Garrett's whole playbook covered.

I have a feeling that one of them might be gone.

Really? We're trading either Felix or Choice 1 year into their career? Cause I'm sure you realise Barber is going no where after signing the huge deal he did.

They're all three going to be here they're just going to have a really hard time getting them all the ball.

Choice is probably our best overall runner at this point.

Barber is a finisher and Felix is a homerun threat.

great problem to have, except we have a dummy running the offense.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, I do have to wonder after seeing how well Choice has played, and seeing just what Felix gives us when he was in there, if Jerry is now regretting giving Barber that big contract this year, instead of simply tagging him for the season, where he could have signed him for much less this offseason or let him go.

I'm not saying I'd want that, or I'd want Barber gone (i am a big Barber fan) but I do wonder if he's second guessed that decision now seeing how good the two rookies he has are.

No controversy - Choice is the starter, Felix is the change of pace back, MB3 plays STs and backs up Choice. In 2010 we can trade Barber when the cap is gone. He is not nearly as talented as Choice and Felix so there is no point in trotting him out on the field play after play.

If we can get a player-for-player trade for a Pro Bowl safety or NT I would consider a direct swap of Barber with another team. The cap hit is just nasty for a trade.

We should have waited a year as I strongly advised before we tried to re-up him. Barber wouldn't get more than $4M/yr after this year. He is not a feature back.

There wont be a RB controversy. Jason Garrett will never let that happen.

You're darn right Jerry should be wondering about that monstrousity of a contract. This is why Jerry needs a GM to run the football affairs while Jerry runs his 3-ring circus.

Will there be enough carries for all 3??.. Barber and Choice are every down backs. Almost the same guy, except Choice is more elusive and Barber is more "beastly". Felix Jones is definately a home run threat, but not sure he is capable carrying the load 25 times a game. He's a great weapon to have on your team, but should not be in consideration for your starter...

So the dilema is, who starts next year? Barber or Choice?

Barber has not ran with the passion and fire, like in previous years. Is this due to increased workload? Injuries? Already getting paid?
Would he and the team be better served, if he returned to that "finisher/punisher" role?

This would allow Choice to start and tire out the defenses(Similiar to what Julius Jones tried to do). Bring Barber in on certain drives, especially late in games, and bring his energy and passion to the field... All the while having Felix Jones as your "ace in the hole", all purpose back.

To me that is the perfect scenario.... If we can get our Coordinater to figure this out.

I think you underrate Barber a bit. Although Choice should start.

barber won't last long the way he runs as a primary back.

you OVER estimate him in that regard.

the fact that dumb & dumber had tony throw deep then bring in marion for a 3-and-out (after we were moving the ball to start the game) just shows you how out of touch or coaches are with our players.

Why should Choice start? You really want to make a judgement after a handful of games? Sounds like someone else I know that plays in Seattle.

I actually think Barber has turned old prematurely from his running style. The power is already gone after just 4 years. Maybe he can get some of it back after a year of rest and being used a short-yardage back next year.

Did you miss the part where I said Choice should start?

I agree that he looks old, but he's only 25 years old. I know that with his running style, he as taken numerous amounts of hits. But i cant see how that can already be slowing him down this much... He looks horrible out there.. No passion at all.. .He thrives off passion, emotion, adrenaline... I'm not seeing any of that.. It has to be injuries, or possibly lack of just not giving a damn anymore.

I dont think we could get a second round pick out of him right now.. Regardless of contract
