Should we use him as trade bait? Now before anyone tosses insults at me. Think about this every since his been converted to the feature back his numbers has declined immensely. I still love MBIII and would like for this to happen but the Jerome Bettis ( and alike ) are over. THOUGHTS?

you'd be extremely lucky to get a 4th round pick for one of the slowest runningbacks in the league.

his dad is old, no one would want some old dude.

MBIII is done!

but like always we will keep a player around a year or more to long. Just wasting our talent on the sidelines.

Nobody is going to take his contract.

We have 4 really bad contracts.

1. Hamlin

2. Roy

3. Barber

4. Flozell

We need to dump at least 2 of those 4 since the year is uncapped.

I have a feeling Barber will bounce back next year. He looked great until that quad injury. Then he became just a straight ahead runner the rest of the year.

I'd like to trade his grandfather, Marion Barber the First!

He will always be number 1 in my book.

LOL you guys know what I mean.. MBIII

Barber isn't going anywhere. When healthy he's one of the best rb's in the league.

I am quoting this because I agree, and I think it will tick people off and I would like to be a part of that.

I don't think he is done just had some injury issues over the last 2 season. I think many are writing him off way too early.

They are but part of this is on the coaching staff for continuously trotting him out there when you have a back like Tashard Choice who could've cut into the carries while Barber got rest.

I realise Barber is the best blitz pickup back in the league but at some point we should've gave him more time to get well.

How many of these threads are needed? He's NOT trade-able. He has almost zero trade value period and with his contact he has less than zero.

As I have said before we can all argue who should get what carries and beleive me many have their own idea of who and how the carries should be given. I do think Barber being the better of the 3 in picking up blitzers played a part in the coaches going more with him than the others.

I think as Choice and Felix improve in that area the coaches will have more chances of getting others into the game no matter the situation. I also think they like having Barber physical style come in to wear down on defensive lineman early in games, again I know others feel a different way all I can say is go be a coach then you can rotate guys the way you see fit and others will question your call.

These are the once i'd dump, we need Flozell still none of the others on that list is really contributing much

....or is he a guy that got his fat pay day and disappeared? Not like it hasn't happened before in the NFL. I hope he can return to the guy that got Jerry to go all in, but I have my doubts. Shelf life on RB's of his style are very short.

Hey when Barber is healthy I like him much better than Choice because of his ability to impose his will.

But this past season his leg was just to bad and he looked nothing like the MB3 that got him this big pay day in the 1st place.

I agree and I think players and coaches alike understand about playing through injuries. You can't just play the game when you feel 100%. Having said that yes I think we could have rotated Barber in and out a bit quicker due to his injury but I don't think anyone on that team expected Barber to sit out completely.
