Aussie gives beverage lowdown

Being a Virginia Tech football fan, you can understand if college football is dead to me right now. But we do have a few tailgating traditions, and a recent one is enjoying a Budweiser and Foster’s before each game—because Tech’s defensive coordinator is named Bud Foster.
When I was in Dallas I had to ask Cowboys punter Mat McBriar, who is Australian, about Foster’s. I had heard Aussies were not fond of it.
“What is Foster’s thought of in Australia?” I asked him. “Is it like Budweiser, or less?”
“I’d say less,” McBriar said. “It’s pretty terrible. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a case of Foster’s in Australia.”
“Really? Because it’s not that bad here.”
“I think the Foster’s here tastes better than the Foster’s in Australia,” McBriar said. “It’s brewed in Canada and it tastes different. Here, it’s not so bad.”
“So what do you drink in Australia?”
“Back home, it depends on the state you grew up in. I’m a Victorian, so I drink Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draft, Melbourne Bitter. If I was from New South Wales, Sydney, I’d drink Toohey’s, and if I was from Queensland, I’d drink Forex. They’re all different. In Western Australia you drink Emu, and in South Australia you drink ...” McBriar pretended to urinate.
I wasn't sure if he was joking or not. Later I checked http://www.australianbeers.com/ and sure enough, there is a beer called “P---.”
