SAN DIEGO -- Newly acquired wide receiver Keenan McCardell will make his season debut on Sunday and might even start for the San Diego Chargers in their road game against the Carolina Panthers.

The Chargers obtained McCardell from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two draft picks on Tuesday, just before the NFL trading deadline. McCardell was the league's last holdout, skipping the first six games with Tampa Bay because he was unhappy his contract wasn't renegotiated.

"It's not out of the realm of possibility that Keenan starts," coach Marty Schottenheimer said Friday.

"He has some history in this system, but it was a long time ago," Schottenheimer said. "But he has come along and had no problems at all."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

So McCardell can come in and possibly start, but the Cowboys have no idea if Quincy Morgan can contribute? Why is Dallas always slow to get things going, but other teams get going with any and everything right away? Ticks me off. And who cares if Keenan has some history with the Charger's system? The terminology is probably completely different and the offense will have been tweaked.

I doubt we see what Quincy Morgan can offer this offense till the Detroit game. If then.

SD NEEDS McCardell to play. The only other WR they have is Eric Parker. We don't NEED QM to play.

You need to calm down. You're going to give yourself an ulcer.
