Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy when asked multiple questions today about WR Brandin Cooks only having one catch (2 targets) vs. the Eagles: “We play to the discipline of the quarterback and the training of the quarterback. Yes, I’d love to see everybody get the ball. But when you throw for (374) yards and you got to come in here and answer questions about someone not getting the ball, I mean, come on, I don’t think that's a relevant evaluation.”

MM should have said, "Dak can only stare down one reciever at a time and he really likes Ceedee".

Kidding...

I expect in true Dallas fashion, Cooks will get 20 targets on Sun. :muttley:

We all know what Cooks is capable of. And he's contributing more than his stat line shows. Still a long way to go.

But to be clear, we see you Brandin Cooks.

I don't care what McCarthy says Cooks is underused, or else they wouldn't have been hyping the trade for all offseason. Let Cooks work some slot because CeeDee can eat anywhere.

Yeah, lets see if he sees the money after this season.

Cooks from the slot makes some sense. But it also creates a tad more risk there when you have a shorter receiver. I trust they'll figure it out.

Still, Cooks is contributing whether you see it in his statline or not. Same for guys like Dlaw. Fans are more interested in fantasy football perspectives than what's happening as a team. As a team, Cooks has been effective enough.

We need him healthy in the playoffs. That's where he'll earn his money if he plays for us again next year.

I personally don't care about his money. I want to see him help the team win.

I dont believe you ignore a player the whole season and then suddenly involve him heavily in the playoffs. Especially a WR. A WR needs chemistry with the QB. That is build by repetition not by running fly routes to free others.

And a WR is paid by his stats. If he has a 600 yds 5 TD seasons he is seen as a third or even fourth WR and not a 2nd. And thats what the open market then would offer him. And i dont think the Joneses are going to give him double the money just becaue "they saw him" during the season.

Thats why i reacted with a cynic post regarding to your "we see you". Just to put what you posted into correlation.

Can your team fandom come to an end already? I hear the Houston Texans are looking for fans. Heck, there are several ex-Cowboys you can follow there as well.
If we remove your posts asking fans to find another team, you would have zero posts

I don't think the question is about the one game againsts the Eagles. It is a question for the entire season. Coooks has not been a factor at all in the offense so either he is a bad fit in Dallas, in which case we have to ask why trade for him, or they don't know how to use a perenial 1000 yard receiver.

Tomlin just said the same about Pickens. Is he dumb too? Well.....cz hates Tomlin at large so the answer is probably yes.

We didn’t need cooks. We needed a big target for Dak and insurance on Steele on the off chance he’s not as good post injury.
