You give Lynch that O-Line and Zeke like Dak had, and he would've been just fine too.

It's not hard to hand the ball off and throw check downs for 3 years while you learn.

Lynch would probably be a 60-million-dollar man right now.

Ahh, how some are lucky to be put into situations where they're not asked to be anything more than a run-of-the-mill bus driver.
you keep saying that, but he fizzled out quickly out of the league. you just can't bring yourself to admit because you want it to be right. I mean 32 NFL teams said so. 32 GMs said so. 32 coaches said so. but somehow, you know more than them....oookkk then

and with that said, he would be fine!!!!? superbowl material? elite? so why waste time as you often argue....if they are not elite, then they suck and must be dumped and find an elite one.
didn't KC do that, they dumped Smith and got Mahomes....

and Lynch would have been over paid at 60...just like your all time favorite QB...

I’d guess Dak would love to be traded. He can veto any trade he’s not comfortable with. There’s only a handful of teams worse than the Cowboys. Almost any team is a better place to be. If Jerry is really upset about what Dak says he can get back at him by making him remain on the Cowboys. Face it, Dak and Todd France are laughing at Jerry Jones. There is nothing Jerry can do about it.
Except with that contract he can't be traded. He would have to be cut like Daniel Jones was by the Giants. Plus Dak will be 32 with declining skills.

I agree. Which is why Jerry is just going to have put up with whatever it is Dak says.

You think he's telling the truth? It reeks of Jerry influencing the response.
In Green Bay, Ted Thompson called the shots. Here, McCarthy gets to give his take within the parameters that Jerry and Stephen establish. (Jerry has said before that it is a collaborative effort, but he has the final say.) I don't doubt that some of the coaches and players are here because McCarthy asked for them and they fit within the Joneses' parameters. I also don't doubt that McCarthy would like to see the Joneses do more in free agency, but I'm sure he knew what he was getting into there because they had been operating that way for years.

Why does Dak have to say anything?

He's not required to give interviews from his car while he's injured lol

Oh, and I'll take any of em instead of Dak. I'll also take vet free agents or a vet via trade over Dak.
We are in the playoff hunt if Cooper Rush started this season

so dak speaks up for mike, and now mike doesnt understand why lol.
Another example of the confusion here in frisco.
So, the guy who has fleeced Jerry for max amounts multiple times says he supports you and you're too stupid not to keep your mouth shut..?

I mean that's reason enough to let him go from a fan's perspective. From Jerry's perspective, it ensures he remains the coach. Or maybe that's how MM planned it.....

This is hilarious! Now I’m wondering when Dak was talking about having more input if he was referring to himself.

He was sticking up for Mike. Mike wants to steal more money from Jerry so he's trying to play his role. And he may do it. I initially thought there was no way he would be brought back but I'm starting to think it's a possibility.

nobody gets it done here. for at least 30 years....I don't think mahomes can get it done here.....Dallas is where players come to get paid and die in their careers. you want a ring you go somewhere else as some of the cowboys have done.
Romo got it done. Aikman got it done after 1995. It doesn't mean winning multiple playoff games per se - it just means doing your job. Dak seems to be allergic to that. He's getting outplayed by someone who makes about 3% of his salary. Dak makes about four times what Brady made per year if I'm not mistaken. Let that sink in.

We're being held hostage. I am so glad he made this comment though. It needed to be said by someone other than the fans.

I'm glad the said it, but you have to be so unbelievably stupid to make that comment. That's like running to the Associated Press and criticizing your boss. It's not a smart move, but we are stuck with him so it's not like he's getting cut. He'll be an anchor around this team's neck for the next 3 years.

how did Romo get it done? most people on this board use playoffs as a measure. making the CCG as a minimum and superbowl appearances.....Romo never got any of that done. one year we had #1 seed, at home for playoffs and he laid and egg with 17 point output. everyone points to giants being good etc. as an excuse, but it only means he wasn't as good as advertised. Romo didn't get it done. period.

Dak didn't get it done. period.

Aikman got it done. period.

and its NFL QB salaries. what does what brady made 4 years ago any relevance to what happens today.....4 years ago, Dak got paid and was second highest player. only within a month it was surpassed and in two years he was 12th highest paid....that's NFL salary increase as it happens....you can do the exact same excercise for any other position.

and how are we held hostage if we have 23M on the cap this year? 20M last year, 15M the year before and 20M the year before that? caps get managed, money pushed to future and you put a team together to compete. Philly has done it and is been handing out large contracts. they are top 2 in NFC. they went to superbowl, losing to Mahomes and won one...

and why bring Brady into this? he is an exception to the rule. he made his money. he was in the league for 20 years. for him it was about championships. and his wife made three times what he made. and I refuse to believe 5M per year (which is what brady made less than top market at the time) is the difference between a championship team and not a championship team. we refuse to sign FAs and be a player even when we have cap room. its the cowboys.

and again, Romo didn't get it done!!! he was 2-4 in the playoffs. and lost three win and you are in games during the season.
