I think he's a great head coach, but that doesn't mean he isn't human. He tends to get scared.
And you can see how he restricts the playcalling when he gets nervous.
That's why Cooper Rush was not allowed to stretch the field vs the Eagles in the first matchup, resulting in a loss that saw Rush throw for a measley 45 yards. The Cowboys were outplayed the Eagles and the Texans, but McCarthy refused to let Rush do more, and the offense shut down in the second half of both games.
After the Eagles game CeeDee as much as admitted it.
In the rest of the games Rush has put up big numbers.
But when Rush threw one pass that was almost intercepted in the Cowboys own end of the field versus the Buccaneers, you saw McCarthy restrict the offense once again, afraid of an interception or turnover that might cost the Cowboys the game.
The result was that the Cowboys offense once again shut down, and the defense had to make plays to stop the Buccaneers.
It worked, but it didn't have to be that way. This is the NFL. Rush should have been allowed to keep moving the offense.
Against the Bengals it might have made a difference, as well.

No because dink and dunk is what works for Cooper Rush. He’s a very limited quarterback. if he had led CD on the first over the middle pass. it would’ve been a touchdown. Instead, CD had to wait for the ball and then he got killed after making the reception.

and if it’s true, what you say he does the same thing to Prescott. So it’s all coaching and nothing to do with him being a bad quarterback. Either way you’re pressing.

Ok so Dak holds it too on, why not change the offense for him so he can get it out quicker

No, he doesn't get conservative with Dak. And that is what gets him in trouble.
But you can see McCarthy getting tentative with Rush.
By the way, I think Rush and CeeDee purposely throw pass routes that force CeeDee to stop. It protects CeeDee from getting hammered and also allows him to go against the grain and break free in the secondary after catching the ball.
I think it's the same as misdirection from the running backs. Get the defense moving one way, then cut back and catch them off guard.
Some of Rush's passes are a little off, but some appear to be purposely thrown behind.

He doesn’t get conservative with Prescott, I guess you missed everybody complaining about the first three games of the season. Do you just listen to newscast or do you actually watch? Yes, CD love stopping short turning around to go backwards to catch a ball that’s short on purpose. Almost falling on his face to try and grab it. Lol.

you can’t make this stuff up

Well, that's what I think, but I could be wrong. Rush hasn't gotten enough work with the starting receivers to have the timing down pat, so I am sure he throws behind by accident at times.
However, it is pretty clear that others are thrown behind on purpose, and Lamb has missed taking hits because of it.
But I don't deny that some of them are probably a result of Rush getting accustomed to throwing to the starting guys.

My issue is still the same - MM + Dak is pass heavier with less run balance, less play action and increased pass attempts overall. MM + Rush is more balanced with emphasis on running the ball and more play action with decreased attempts overall. Dak has always been a better QB when there was an emphasis on running the ball, utilizing more play action and occasionally pass heavy games.

I guess MM needs to look at Detroit and see how they worked for Goff. They realized when he was pass heavy, he was the bad version of himself and struggled. So they went more run orientated, heavier play action and kept him out of obvious pass situations. He is definitely been playing alot better with that formula. Dak excelled in this throughout his career but now we are putting him in situations that dont always favor his strengths which is why I want MM gone as well. If he called games with Dak in the same thought as he has with Rush then may we would have some different outcomes. This is why I dont like coaches who have schemes and force players into theirs vs adjusting scheme and play calling to players strengths. Which is why Rush is performing at a solid level.
