They ran the ball often this game seemingly to protect the ball and then they go bombs away with the game on the line.
Yeah, the running game got shut down, but a long bomb wasn't the answer...obviously. Not blaming Dak for that, it was a very catchable ball, but something with better odds should've been the call.

That’s actually not true. Jaguars actually we’re shutting down the run on first down starting in the third. The Jags just defended the run better on the early downs, forcing longer third downs.

If you look at the play by play, it’s probably around a 50/50 split.

For the entire game maybe, but it seemed there were long stretches of mostly run plays out of the same formation earlier on.

No, I’m actually referring to the second half only. I looked at the stats on Pro Football Reference, full play by play and it was an estimate. But it seemed like a 50:50 split. But Jaguars defended the run and took away the yardage on the early downs. There seemed to be quite a lot of negative yardage runs on first down in the second half. Jags probably adjusted overall better to the keys running.

They sold out to stop the run. Simple as that and it worked.
