He's right, the turnovers have been costly. Dak has to own those.

And also true is how bad McCarthy's playcalling, play designs, and decisions have been. Winning the toss and taking the ball, and then coming out with vanilla plays and never scoring an opening drive TD is just silly. Hec, McCarthy had 2 weeks to prepare for San Francisco and the team had opening drive "miscommunications". Come on, man!!!

Dead. Coach. Walking. McCarthy's three 12-win seasons bought him a 1-year extension  ...and this is likely going to be the last coaching job he ever has.

Yes, the QB is playing awful, but the coach is winning us any games either. When was the last time an offensive play was run and you acknowledged, "Now THAT was a great play call"? When was the last time McCarthy designed a play that confused the defense and got a player wide-open downfield?

Was his scheme, playcalling, and play design awful last year too?

And also, was it awful on those two scoring drives that ended in touchdowns to Ceedee?

Serious question

Yes!

The playcalling and play designs have always been poor, especially in the 1st halves of many games.

And I give little credit to late, desperate TDs in blowout games...when the defense is in full BBDB trying to protect their big lead.

And when the lights shine brightest, big games in December or the playoffs, this offense is never prepared. Hec, now they're barely prepared in September games.

You paid a guy 60 million that your offense needs to see less of and not more of.

Dallas needs to get back to running the football.

You can’t ask Dak to carry a team. You never could.

We need a Ravens style run attack around this guy and he will do great but asking Dak to carry an offense with his arm is pure stupidity.

Dallas screwed up bigtime.

Dak is not a big game player. Never has been and never will be.

Especially now that he’s stuck in the pocket and can’t run.

He once was a Big Game Player, he's digressing. And it may be because he has only ONE legitimate threat on offense and an offensive line he doesn't trust to block, and he's no longer mobile enough to escape.

Doesn't change the fact that the coach stinks too.

Multiple things can be true at the same time.

we have a better chance to get hot in the passing game this year than running the football.
we aren't 'running the football' with any effectiveness with these RBs and this Oline.
Dak's playoff and 'big game' issues aside, has at least shown he can put up big stats and points in the regular season. that's the key to turning around the offense.

When was this?
Dak Prescott has been a finalist for the NFL MVP award multiple times, in 2016 and 2023. He was 2nd last year, losing to Lamar Jackson.

In 2023, Dak was a collective 410 of 590 for 4,516 yards...with 36 TDs and 9 interceptions. He even had a 92-yard pass play. That's a really good year.

And this was with a lame offensive coordinator and a bunch of slow starts (as McCarthy never comes out in the first few drives with anything creative or exploitive of the defense's weakness).

Sure, he had some bad moments last season, all QBs do. And yes, he stunk it up early against Green Bay. He played poorly in that game, and in a few others. But overall, a really good, almost-MVP year.

This year, the offensive roster is worse. And he's forcing things, often to CeeDee...so he's not playing well. We all know that. And he knows that.

But Dak's poor play is not the only thing holding this team back this season.

Haven’t you learned anything? You can’t post the other issues this team has AFTER you’ve agreed with the Dak Sucks crowd. You can only, and I mean ONLY say Dak sucks or they just might come after you and your opinion.

Dak is undoubtedly a huge part of the problem right now. Some of his decisions are mind numbing.

But did Aikman call out route running? Has play calling & clock management been questioned by many?
Is the offensive line playing well? Is the running game dead last in the league?
The defense is minus anyone that can rush the passer & they still can't stop the run. Truth is, the team just isn't very talented...do in part to a bad 2023 draft in particular, and a worse 2024 offseason.

As far as Lamb's TD's...on at least one of them, CD was wide open because the 49'ers DB's ran into each other, not because of a great route or play call.
