Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy when asked about being 0-3 at home after having won 16 in a row at home over the previous two seasons: "Well, I think just when you think you've seen it all in this league, it's just the way the ball bounces sometimes. We've started off 3-0 on the road too, so we could have that conversation.

"We'll tweak some things. You just can't keep doing the same things over and over again."

Just waiting for the next bad team (NFC East) to say see we can win a few hard fought matches. Our division is going to make this a long delusional season.

I think he wants Jerry to fire him before the seasons is over. He knew coming in, only way he would get extended was to get to the NFCC game. He also knew he has no chance of achieving that with the lousy offseason he had this year. He wants Jerry to fire him now so that he can get himself ready and available for the next gig. He gets paid either way so getting fired would be a win for him at this point.

There is no next gig.

McCarthy doesn't care any longer. He's a lame duck coach and knows he won't be back next season. There are zero quick fixes for this season. This roster is extremely flawed that has transpired from years of roster mis-management. And not getting a real coaching staff in place to maximize the roster we have in place.

Picking Taco over TJ Watt. Drafting Mazi and Schoon back to back in 2023 draft. LVE and C.Williams back to back in 2018 draft. Trading away a draft pick for a QB who is terrible (Lance). Drafting Guyton who only played guard in college and trying to convert him to tackle in the NFL has been a disaster. Trading away Cooper for a later round draft pick when all other WRs were getting a minimum 1st rd pick. Bringing Zeke back. Ignoring the RB position in the offseason. Never taking the DT position seriously. Then when we sort of have an out to tear this down and start fresh like Houston did, we double down and go all in on a roster that has never given us any real success by extending Dak and Lamb to huge extensions. And I'm sure Parsons is coming soon. This is the Romo/Dez/Witten/Ware era all over again.
