I believe this is the best way forward for this offense as both are worthy of getting a decent number of carries.

But it's quite an expensive "tandem".

If the goal to to be more multiple and split carries between two kinds of backs, then paying one of them what we pay Elliott is just dumb business. I hope they cut Elliott in 2023, bring back Pollard and then pair him with a more mid-level FA back while investing draft capital into the OL. That's how you build a running game that can thrive through an entire season. Not taking massive cap hits on one TB.
I believe it’s the worst way forward. I see dark getting g sacked after pollard misses a block. Then it’s back to 2018 for zeke

For those of you who mistakenly think this means they are going to be on the field together, you’re going to be disappointed. You’re misunderstanding will lead to your disappointment. You heard it here first.

Did he get permission to say that? He may get a call to the principles office if he spoke out of turn.

Now I don't know what to think about what McCarthy said. More than one way to translate what he means. We've seen Pollard and Zeke on the field at the same time. So working together is nothing new.

The reports over and over again are that we are going to have them on the field at the same time. Whether we actually do it is another thing. But the evidence seems to indicate it. I do think Dallas doesn't want to completely show it's hand on this, but it has had Pollard doing a lot of receiver training this offseason. I think he's going to be out there regularly with the offense, taking or faking jet sweeps, catching WR screens, motioning into the backfield, etc., with Zeke at RB. Makes sense to me to get our biggest offensive threats on the field, and they are Lamb, Elliott, Pollard and Schultz.

Of course, again we have to see Moore/McCarthy actually do that, but there's been a lot of indications that they plan on it. Including what McCarthy said here.

McCarthy is going to get a strongly worded memo or public callout by Jerry.

Jerry has already stated that Cowboys go where Zeke goes.

No tandems in Jerry's mind.

Haha that would be amusing to see that memo. Or fly on the wall in Jerry's office.

That's possible because obviously we haven't seen it before. However, I believe the evidence is all over that they plan to put them on the field together. So we'll see who's right.

Remind me of ‘the evidence’.

Yeah, and it's flat too.

I can drive down the road to the Paluxy River and see dinosaur tracks in the riverbed that are as old as 65 million years. But nobody today has time to even stop and think about how long 65 million years is, it just hurts there brain. Sort of like how to imagine how to spend Jerry's 8 Billion dollars.

So I am with you, I think a 6000 year old Planet Earth is perfect for the masses.

Just keep it simple.

written history is around 6000 years old.

agree,

Dorsett had Newsome.

Zeke has Pollard.

Even with a torn PCL, Zeke was better.

I put up a post with some of the evidence, but it appears that it wasn't allowed for some reason. Here are a couple of links since maybe I posted too much of the articles:

https://www.nfl.com/news/cowboys-rb...eceiver-role-at-otas-i-m-open-to-anything-jus

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...-is-working-on-his-new-role-as-slot-receiver/

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...iver-he-can-be-one-of-our-best-pass-catchers/

There's a lot more where that came from, but as I said, whether they follow through on it is something we'll have to wait and see.

That is landmark.
The ship's rudder has shifted a few degrees latitude sanity.
Perhaps Jerry has seen enough and wants to move Pollard in?
Zeke, do your best. Because it seems your days as top dog RB and numero uno and muy bueno in Cabo are over.

Man, this indigo makes everything so clear. Where's the saltines ....

If there was ever a year to do it this is it. Not much depth at receiver, it doesn’t kill us to have two backs. When I’ve always hated about RB rotations, and definitely with specialists, is it gets obvious what playcall is coming sometimes.
