This is why I say Shotty has a chance to be a darn good head coach.


"Most coaches when they assemble a staff, they got a bunch of their friends and people that they know," McClay said. "He went out to find the best for what he was looking for, ideas, and new guys to bring new things and make it his way."
So what does the Brian Schottenheimer way look like?
"He's very humble, but very hungry…" McClay said. "He's going to be confrontational with the communication but respectful with that, and test your conviction, and he's very, very clear with what he wants and what he wants to do, and getting everybody on the same page."

This is good. Understandable about the excitement of basically an entire new coaching staff.

It is not quite up there ashen Jerry and Jimmy took over. Because Jerry and son the past 28 years knocks that down some as to what will they really do to help the new staff.

But with the new staff, it brings excitement as to how will the team look come game time. What will we see in TC that will be different.
How will the roster take shape. I know, no one is expecting anything in FA. But the draft and how they approach that, will be watched closely.

I’m not against the hire, more like indifferent.

If they aren’t going to bring in a guy like Payton or Harbaugh that’s going to run the whole deal…which will not happen…it doesn’t much matter.

If Shoddy and his staff fail, it probably won’t be because of their inability, but much more about the FO not giving them the horses they need.

This organization loses many games in March as they sit smugly and think they are outsmarting the rest of the league.
