A lot of highschool QBs are smaller than McCoy especially at the 2A schools. If people thought he was too small for Tuscola then they were living in some sort of fantasy land.

Really, that is straight from Brad McCoy in Colt's Freshman year.

Apparently they didn't see his last play. Or maybe they just let it slip.

Or maybe the voters figured that being the winningest quarterback in the history of college football meant more than one play...

The same player has won both awards in the same year 32 times.

I believe Tebow won the Heisman and Maxwell in 2007.

Gotcha. I just dont think the voters will let Ingram have the kind of year he did for the Tide and not get a single award. Sounds ludicrous to me. Mr. Ingram meet Mr. Heisman.

Colt's brother Case won his HS playoff game tonight (Graham vs Pittsburg) to advance to the 3A Division II State Championship game next week. It was a good game, they were up 19-3 at the half, then gave up 17 straight points in the 2nd half but won it on McCoy's scramble and 2 pt conversion, 27-20. During his interview Case said they would be flying up to NY tomorrow for the awards show.

Also, for those who don't know, their dad is the Graham varsity head coach.

On a Cowboys related note, Philip Rivers was on the Graham sidelines. Not sure why, but for what it's worth...

The Horns are 45-7 in games that Colt has started. However, I contend that Colt is 45-6. He led the Horns to a 7-0 lead against KSU his freshman season, but was injured while scoring on a QB sneak. Jevan Snead played the rest of the game and the Horns got used. So IMO, the loss is on Snead.

Colt could potentially have 5 more wins.

2006 (Freshman)
He lost to tOSU, KSU, and A&M. Well in the KSU game, on 3rd and goal, Selvin Young actually crossed the plain of the goal with the football. However, the refs did not award a TD, nor did they look at it under replay. So the Horns went for it on 4th and goal. Colt scored, but suffered a neck injury that lingered the rest of the year. Colt was on fire his freshman season, and drove the Horns at will on that opening drive. I honestly feel that if he doesn't get injured, the Horns win that game. I also feel that they win the A&M game as well. So with those two wins, they go 11-1 during the regular season, instead of 9-3. They, then get the opportunity to play in the Big 12 Championship game instead of OU. With a win in the Big 12 Championship, they end up playing for the BCS title, I believe vs Florida. If it was Florida, they were awesome during that season. I think UT would have lost....So Colt actually only adds 2 wins to his total.

2007 (Sophmore)
He lost to OU, KSU, and A&M. OU was a good game, but the Charles fumble cost UT a chance at overtime. KSU owned Texas in Austin, something that never happens under Mack Brown. A&M was the better team that day. I concede all 3 losses.

2008 (Junior)
He lost to Texas Tech. Shame on the Horns for getting so far behind early. But everything seemed to go Tech's way for much of the game. Shipley dropped 2 passes, one being a deep TD if caught. Orakpo and Cosby missed much of the game with injury. TT was just dominating the LOS on both sides. Then Colt woke up and brought the Horns back. He got them the lead, but ran the play too soon and left too much time on the clock for TT. Then the famous Gideon drop. It was so Bill Buckner it is sickening. Next play, Earl Thomas takes the wrong angle on help coverage and Crabtree scores the TD. Texas should have won that game, gone on to the Big 12 Championship game, beaten Mizzou again, and then gone on to play Florida....and this time, I think they beat them. So I give Texas 2 more wins this season.

2009 (Senior)
Could have lost to OU. Should have lost to Nebraska. Still, he ended up 13-0, with 1 game left.

Actual (45-7)
2006 10-3 (tOSU, KSU, A&M)
2007 10-3 (OU, KSU, A&M)
2008 12-1 (TT)
2009 13-0 (1 game pending)

Perhaps (49-5)
2006 12-2 (tOSU, **)
2007 10-3 (OU, KSU, A&M)
2008 14-0 (BCS CHAMPION)
2009 13-0 (1 game pending)
