McCoy will be a better pro than Bradford or Clausen

I just wanted to go on record. I've been listening to the ESPN and NFLN guys go over each of these QBs and looked at the highlights, and the pro days, and Bradford and Clausen both have a noticeably slower release than McCoy. Some really smart team is going to take McCoy at the end of the first or the beginning of the second and be really happy they did.

Agreed.

Depends.

The best thing that could happen to Bradford is going to the NFC West.

That division is terrible and lacks upside.

Who knows where Colt will go.

If he goes to the AFC North then that will be tough. If he goes to the Vikings then that is a PERFECT scenario.

Colt needs to ride pine for a couple of years but he is a much better athlete between the 2 and more of a playmaker.

We have seen McCoy have success when surrounded by chaos. Bradford? Not so much.

I agree, maybe, time will tell. I'm not big on Bradford and Claussen is an immature jerk.

I agree, imagine if the Rams drafted ended up like this

1. Suh
2. Colt McCoy
3. Jordan Shipley

I have read multiple people say that Colt McCoy would be best served if he went to a team that ran the WCO.

Now I think sometimes a QB can be ruined by a team he goes to...not in all cases but I think a team, the players already on it, the coaches and system can make or break a QB.

For instance...Does anyone think that any QB coming our right now would do well with the raiders if the raiders do not change other things drastically? I mean the best QB ever could come out and if he got drafted by the raiders in their current condition...does anybody think that QB would do as good as if he was on even a remotely decent team?

I don't know who of the top three QBs this year will wind up doing the best. I do think there are too many longhorn homers or haters in here that let that bias get in the way to be objective about things.

I think all three could wind up being good QBs. I think they all have different strengths and weaknesses.

McCoy will not be a bust and is the better overall QB of the 3. Quicker release and has the best accuracy when on the move. Doesn't have the strongest arm of the 3 but is certainly strong enough. Needs to go to a team that can groom him for 2 or 3 years.

Bradford better hope that which ever team picks him is also committed to protecting him because he doesn't do well when things break down around him... He had a very good OL at Oklahoma.

Clausen is the most likely to be a bust or be ruined by whatever team that takes him.

Colt reminds me of romo more than anyone else.

McCoy reminds me more of Drew Brees than Romo

If there are teams out there that see either Romo or Brees in McCoy,,,, he will be taken rather quickly.

See I think Clausen has a lesser bust factor than Bradford too.

Again... The guy has been good when surrounded by chaos.

If he had a bigger arm I would say he is the next Rivers but since he doesn't I will just have to say he will be a poor mans Phillip Rivers.

Lets face it. The 2 best pro prospects are still in College. Jake Locker and Ryan Mallett would go #1 in this draft.

I, for one, think we have a better chance of getting McCoy than we do of getting Bryant simply because he'll be there when we select. IMO Colt McCoy has a better chance of being a Cowboy than some might think. It wouldn't be a dumb idea to draft him. I love Romo and can't see McCoy competing with him for his job unless Romo decides he wants to retire or something. He is 30. We'd just be in a situation like San Diego was with Brees and Rivers. Having McCoy is like always having a number one draft pick or like having a top-notch back up on your roster at any time. Everyone knows he needs a couple-three years to develop anyway.

Thats a move we should think about when Romo is 34 or 35.

He is still to young (with not much wear and tear on the tires) to even consider drafting a round 1 QB.

OK,,, I really like McCoy, but noway are the 'Boys drafting a QB this year. We are in good shape with QBs... Romo will be the starter at least 5 more seasons, Kitna the backup 1 more year and then McGee the becomes the backup.... Far more pressing needs then taking a QB this draft.

I agree.

All things being equal (opportunity, coaching and supporting cast) Colt McCoy will have a better career than Bradford and/or Clausen.
McCoy gives a team more options at QB, is a proven winner and his leadership and character are above reproach. What team wouldn't want this young man to be the face of their franchise for the next decade or so.

He's money.

Hammer ;)

Hard to say. He played in a passing league with playmakers all around him and threw into wide open windows most of the time.

He's a good athlete but that will only get him so far in the NFL.

I would be concerned about his struggles against some of the better teams like Oklahoma and Nebraska. When they showed some of the coaches tape he made some very poor plays in those games holding the ball, etc.

It will be interesting to see how he does. I thought Tim Couch would be another Peyton Manning so it's really a crapshoot with these QBs.
