McDaniel turns down Buffalo HC interview

Just odd. There's only 32 of them and you have a franchise QB still in his prime.
Yeah, but Buffalo is the snow capital of the world and on the very edge of known civilization. I certainly wouldn't want to move from a place where the wimmin wore bikinis to a place where they were wrapped up and wearing snow boots. It's a hell hole!

Wow, to become the head coach of Josh Allen as an offensive coach seems like a good opportunity to just decline...

I'd probably expect some kinda back story going on behind the scenes we're not privy to for him to just throw away a chance like that.

smh

Looks like he may be more interested in the Raiders job working with Mendoza as the franchise QB. Tom Brady in the background . And Vegas has better weather than Buffalo.

I’d rather go with that too. Can’t disagree. Build my team the way I want it.

I can’t blame him. Buffalo is tempting because of the QB, but it also seems like that organization thinks way too highly of the rest of the roster they’ve assembled. McDaniel seems like a guy that’ll want to pick some of his own pieces and really build the team to implement his system and not just run it back with Super Bowl expectations.

Good points and I also think McDaniel needs an extremely strong DC candidate to accompany him wherever he goes in order to reach his full potential as a head coach.

Kinda like a McCarthy who had absolutely no clue with the defensive side of the ball. His GB defenses were horrific with the exception of their lone trophy year and who can forget Mike Nolan.
Dan Quinn did his heavy DC lifting and wasnt he a Jerry hire?

I am not sure McDaniel has reached the level of knowing both sides of the ball without an extremely talented DC tagging along yet.

Owner an GM may be the issue. Did you see the owner at the press conference? Not as bad as JJ and moron , but certainly not the best.

I don't think it's odd at all. Where would you rather live, LA, Miami, or Buffalo? He'd rather serve in heaven than rule in hell. Besides that, he's got a less stressful job as OC.
