McElroy feels he’s better suited than Cam for NFL

“Obviously, my talent level has a much lower ceiling than Cam,” McElroy said. “That’s fair, and I respect and understand that. But I don’t think I’m the only guy in the NFL that might have that same problem. I don’t think Peyton Manning is as athletic as Cam.”

But McElroy did point out that his experience with a pro-style offense, his ability to drop back from under center and ability to check down on the defense put him ahead at this point. McElroy also won a national championship and was 24-3 as a starter at Alabama.

“As far as understanding and processing information . . . five years down the road will he be a more productive player than me? That remains to be seen,” McElroy said

I like him! Maybe a late round pick to develop. Even kinda looks like Garrett.

" Will not lose a game for you " means alot with a back-up QB. I agree with you, he is better than McGee. The kid just knows what it takes to win games and he is smart enough to play within his abilities.

I don't think he was really all that great at Alabama. Made some real questionable throws. I don't know that he's really all that far ahead of Cam right now. imo he'll have 2-3 years in the NFL and then be out.

But it all depends on the situation for Cam. I think the bust QB will be Mallet. Just has knucklehead written all over him.
