I know Dmac is an amazing prospect but folks i'd rather have slaton and barber anyday not to have trade future picks away just to get mcfadden.

Having slaton and barber is like having westbrook and barber in the same backfeild.

Slaton reminds me alot like westbrook with his moves and catching ability out of the backfeild.

He's everything julius jones isn't.

We would be able to keep our other first rounder to draft a cornerback and look wideout in the 2nd or 3rd round.

It makes no sense for a team like us to trade a bunch of picks away for 1 running back when we can add a good one to go with ours if we stay put.

Its not like we are a running back away from winning the bowl we can use a corner and heck if the guy is there take kenny phillips the saftey from miami to replace roy in a few or immediately if we can find the right trade situation.

I think the guy is phenomenal but it would cost too much just to get him look at the I see Ricky Williams situation and it makes me nervous to give up that much for a back and u can find good backs later in the draft.

Like Barber, gore, westbrook, rudi johnson, look at some of the 1st round failures like william green, cedric benson, curtis enis( another bears first round back) michael bennett, t.j duckett,.

Keep in mind that larry johnson and willis mcgahee were both picked as low 1st rounders.

I know mcfadden is gonna be special but if im dallas a team that has a very good back in MB3( and mcfadden fans dont try to discount barber because u loved mcfadden!!)

Marion barber gets love from every anouncer every player everytime anybody mentions his name he has the respect league wide.

I feel as though we can use a guy that compliment him well but he is a feature back in this league.

And I'd take ray rice or slaton to pair with barber and thats good as 1 Mcfadden any day of the week for me.

Lets see 1st round a good back to pair with barber and a future starter @ corner.

Or 2 first and maybe next years 1st just for one back?

Just imagine if we had to trade last year 1st and the 2 for this year for adrian peterson?

I know some of you are like hell yeah but I think spencer will be great with ware and we still would have holes to fill in the secondary and maybe a big young DT.

Just my opinion folks for what its worth

Slaton is no westbrook

I really liked him going into thr season, but he came up small in a few big games. The guy I want right now is Felix Jones. He seems to be at the very least eveything that Julius Jones was supposed to be.

The McFadden dream is over, kaput, gone.

Time to focus on anything else in the draft. No one loves the kid more than me, but he's not going to be a Dallas Cowboy.

I think our running game is fine for a passing team. I rather see us plug some holes on D, and make sure that Romo has another quality receiver besides TO.

Please, NO more McFadden threads....

I'm thinking about starting one of my own...I think I'll call it "McFadden vs rest of draft" or something

I'd take Ray Rice.

Yes, and heck Yes! Slaton is no Westbrook. He's more of a Reggie Bush type back. He's best catching it out of the backfield and lining up in the slot. By the time the draft rolls around, he's going to be off many team's RBs board, and be a projected WR due to his ability as a slot receiver. He doesn't have a NFL's RB body and he never will. He's going to drop to the bottom of Rd.1, and possibly into Rd.2 because of this. Slaton would never be able to carry it more than 5x a game, and would never be able to carry it for any extensive time if Barber got hurt. Furthermore, if we got Slaton, then Barber would have to run 20-30X a game, and with his running style, he wouldn't last a whole season. Barber needs a TRUE RB to complement him. A RB that can carry the full load if Barber ever got hurt. That RB is Ray Rice. RR is the total package. He has great vision, instincts, toughness, burst through the hole, and durability. He's great between the tackles, and has enough speed to bounce it outside. He doesn't have DMac's speed (but how many do?), but he's faster than Emmitt. He runs with a natural body lean, and can move laterally w/o loosing momentum. He has this great knack (instinct/vision) of being able to run towards a hole, and if it's blocked, he can, literally, slide laterally down the LOS, with his shoulders still parallel to the LOS, and find a hole that's just appeared. He's 5'9'' 200lbs (~ Parcell's ideal size for a RB), so he doesn't have a lot of surface area for D's to hit. This is going to help his durability, and increase his longevity. RR has the most NFL-ready body of ANY RB in this draft. DMac's long, slender, legs don't bold well for the NFL (just ask Brandon Jacobs [RB NY]). Don't get me wrong, DMac could become something special (ie. Eric Dickerson), and, if we get him, I'll be the first in line to buy his jersey, but RR could be the next Emmitt Smith, and we can get him w/o mortgaging our future. DMac may have a higher ceiling, but RR is going to have the better career JMHO.

McFadden will not end up being a Cowboy, the Pats will take him.
that would suck I mean how can you overlead a team like that I mean wes welker there 3rd WR could be a one in 10 different places
