As a Longhorns fan all I can say is Thanks a lot. :laugh2:
McGee had a great game that day and shocked Texas. The Horns I think were caught off guard with all the passing A&M did in that game after all they had not passed like that all season. I take nothing away from McGee he had a great game and showed some real skill.

On a side note, I didn't even realize Mike Goodson was draft-eligible. I wouldn't have minded taking a shot at him later, if we thought he could become a slot WR.

Couldn't have had later though. He went in the 4th.

He might as well have been passing against air. The 2007 team was the worst pass defense in Texas Football History and the stats more than back that up.

I really like McGee and that is coming from someone who was initially very disappointed in the pick.

I think he has all the skills needed to be a very good QB. I've found several articles that said he was a real sleeper in this draft. Gil Brandt wrote an article after his pro day and in it Gil said McGee wowed the scouts with his athleticism and his throwing skills.

I love the interview I saw where McGee said he has no doubt he is as good as any QB in the nation, including Sanchez and Stafford.
