On NFL Total Access McGinest just said he was scheduled to go to Dallas FIRST then Cleveland but went to Cleveland first instead. That shows that we had an interest and failed to get the client here. The Browns never let him leave.

Tough to hear because he sounds like a really likable guy.

Saw A little of his news Conference In Cleveland and he said he had played for 7 years under Crennel and thought of him like a Father and he felt welcomed by the Browns and felt like family.

Along with the Money that was going to be hard for Dallas to beat.

Also says a lot about kind of person Parcells is. There's sometimes a bit of complaining about Parcells as coach, etc., on this board. Yet players who have played for him before, keep in contact with him & trust his judgment. He didn't try talk McGinest to come to Dallas for lower salary; give it to him straight--although I'm sure Parcells would have loved to have McGinest playing for him against for year or so.
