It HAS happened but its very rare what happened with Allen for him to take such a huge step.

You will find very few pro QBs starting in the league that did not have at least 60% completion percentage in college
Of course.

But it can be done. Put Richardson in Philadelphia, he could easily do what Hurts has done if he has it all straight mentally.

Coaching matters.

I’ve been reading more about S2 on their website and something seems off with these Stroud reports.

From the S2 website:
As of the 2022 draft, S2 has tested 117 QBs who were considered draft-eligible NFL prospects or are already playing in the NFL.
27 have started in more than 16 games or currently start in the NFL
42 have made an NFL roster for more than one year but have never started
48 never signed or rostered in the NFL

They also state the following:
As an interesting side note, the average S2 Overall Score for all 117 QBs we've tested was 68.

That means out of 117 QB’s tested, 90 or 77% have either never started or didn’t make a roster.

If you over estimate and give the starter group (23%) a perfect score of 100, that would give the remaining non starters & non rosters (77%) an average score of ~59 to get a collective score of 68.

If it were true that Stroud scored an 18, that would mean players who couldn’t roster or have never started scored over 3X higher on average…I call BS.

IMO, someone is pumping FUD.

Anyone using a first on him is a moron. HE MIGHT improve, but the VAST MAJORITY of QBs with accuracy problems NEVER get over it.

why over estimate in this scenario? it makes no sense other than to make fields low score more of an outlier, making the scoring seem more...bs. they didn't say even 1 qb got a 100 but you give all starters 100? very odd

Stroud tanked it so he would fall to Dallas. Dak will request a trade. The Rams will give us Donald, Kupp and 2 1sts in exchange,

LOL…not odd at all…you are confused.

And who is Fields

I am comparing Stroud to players who couldn’t make a team or start, not 100 score starters.

Show your math if you think it’s off. Making starters 100 is the best possible scenario for Stroud when comparing to the worst.

I should know better than to try math on a football site.

I’ll try to simplify my thought process.

You are right, no one scored a 100 that we know of…98 is the highest they have acknowledged on their website. There is no way to know what the other QB’s scored. We also know collectively that the 117 QB’s averaged 68.

If S2 is claiming their testing shows a high correlation between their scores and NFL success, it is safe to assume starters probably scored higher than players that don’t start or make a team. I could have given starters an average score of 90 or 85, or 80. The lower the starter score, the higher the non starter/non roster score. Why? Because we know the average for all must be 68.

By using 100 for starters, it gives you the lowest possible non starter/non roster score. And at that extreme example, their score is still over 3X higher than Strouds suggested 18.

I’m not questioning S2, I’m questioning the leaked 18 score. Especially when compared to non starter/roster players.

I read this this morning and posted on another site. This is from the S2 guy.

Cofounder Brandon Ally said that the company is “aware of scores being leaked, and we’re not sure where that’s coming from, but I will say take some of those with a grain of salt.”

“We have seen, ‘Hey, so-and-so scored the highest in the class, or the highest ever, and so-and-so scored low,’ and it’s like, ‘Yeah, that’s not true,’” Ally continued. “With that being said, this class as a whole—all the guys in the discussion—have scored really, really well.”
