KICK RETURNERS
1. TY MONTGOMERY, WR, Stanford (6-0, 214, 4.51): Returned kickoffs all four seasons, averaging 27.4 with three TDs. "Like him, I sure do," one coach said. "He reminded me of Brian Mitchell. Really can make plays in space. Runs hard." Didn't return punts until 2014 but excelled there, too, with a 19.8 average (12 returns) and two TDs. "Big, strong, 6.3% body fat," another coach said. "He's sudden." Also caught 172 passes for 2,125 (12.5) and 15 TDs and rushed 39 times for 334 (8.6) and four scores. "He just has to get with the right coach," said one scout. "He really hasn't improved there. He had a disappointing season. He's a mystery guy. The one thing I know he can do is return kicks well." From Dallas.

2. ANDRE DEBOSE, WR, Florida (6-0, 190, 4.41): Never made headway on offense (30 receptions, 18.0, four TDs) but returned 79 kickoffs for 26.7 and school-record four TDs. "He's got the Devin Hester stuff," one coach said. "Burst, toughness. ... I think he's special." Blew out knee in August 2013 but received a sixth year; sat out '09 after undergoing a knee biceps femoris graft. "You've got to watch out for his knee," another coach said. "He had a really good year returning punts this year." Averaged 9.3 as first-time punt returner in '12 before improving to 14.0 in '14. "I'm not saying this is Hester. ... has very little offensive production but he's a hell of an athlete with good ball skills," a third coach said. "He is not scared. Wide receiver, running, this, that, whatever. This guy has a lot of upside." From Sanford, Fla. Wonderlic of 19.

3. JAMARCUS "J.J." NELSON, WR, Alabama-Birmingham (5-10, 159, 4.25): Stunning acceleration and speed. "He was the fastest guy at the combine," one coach said. "Not a great ball reader. Lets the ball drop. He was in the Medal of Honor game and didn't do very well." Returned four of 22 kickoffs for TDs in 2014, leading nation with 38.3 mark. Career average was 25.4. Also returned 35 punts for 10.7 and one score. "Remember Brandon Banks, who came out of Kansas State?" another coach said. "He's just like him physically. Not very heavy. Can (expletive) fly. Not natural as a kickoff returner. More at a developmental stage at this point." From Midfield, Ala.
