Perhaps .... but on this particular rep he got put on skatesRidgeway is a huge man that was a heavyweight state champion wrestler. My money is on him rag-dolling McGovern.

It's the slap/punch, its Sam Williams getting into it, it's the most animated i ever have seen Mike McCarthyThose two guys shoving each other isn't post worthy. That's what they get paid to do. So Michael Gehlken was just bobbing for clicks.
Imagine a guy called Ken taking up for a guy named Gehlken. Gehlken sucks.
Sloppy, whatever it was.
1: It is Josh Ball that drives Ridgeway across the field. McGovern a non-factor until late in the play.Great showing by Josh Ball in that sequence. 2nd play he non-blocks or whiffs the lb, 3rd play he fires off, looked around, falls down.
1: It is Josh Ball that drives Ridgeway across the field. McGovern a non-factor until late in the play.
2: The play is intended to be an outside run and Josh Ball reach blocks the defender.
- The udfa RB cuts inside which kills the blocking angles.
3: Josh Ball's primary duty was to help block on the DT, which he did.
- He tried to jump back outside and fell to one knee.
- The outside defender that he would have blocked did nothing.
- The play was going to the other side anyway.
- The outside defender would have had to cut back inside and hurdle Josh Ball without losing any speed in order to get to the far side ball carrier.
We still see a lot of folks talk about Erik Williams' nastiness, which was a well deserved reputation.I was at camp back in 92 & 93.
One of those years I saw Charles Haley irritate Erik Williams. I thought certain Haley was going to die on the spot. EW picked Haley up over his head Pro Wrestling style and slammed him to the ground.. That was the last time I ever saw Haley line up on against EW.
Jimmy would tell some guys to intentionally start a fight if team practice energy was lagging. Kevin Gogan was one of Jimmy's go to guys for that.
We didn't bubble-wrap our players either. And, I'm pretty sure I practiced 2 a days in the desert.......My HS practices 35 years ago had more fight....
Man....to have a vid of that present day style...be a classicI was at camp back in 92 & 93.

Some of these posters should have been in the media. Your assessment was correct, not full of frenzied drivel used to excite the masses.
It appears that Starforever sees what I see.LOL no it isn't, Ball is barely moving, that's mostly McGovern.
He didn't block the DT, he barely touched him.
