Mcgregor vs Mayweather is happening

I really didn't think this was going to happen but apparently it is. I don't follow boxing or mma so is that even worth watching? I know mcgregor isn't a boxer but has boxing skills?

I haven't clicked the link yet, but let me summarize this for you.

-No proffessional boxer has ever beated Floyd Mayweather
-Conor McGregor is not a professional boxer, but only made $4 million or so for UFC 205. He makes a lot more off endorsements, ect, but I think his actual purse was for $4 million.
-Floyd, made $32 million for his last fight, but $200+ million for his Pacquiao fight

It's a money grab, McGregor won't get knocked out, but he'll get taken apart, but make far more that night than any other fight. Also gives him future leverage over Dana White.

Conor supposedly makes about $10 million plus per fight now with his PPV percentage figured in but that still isn't near what a fight with Floyd will pay him.

no chance for mcgregor. i dislike floyds boxing style bc its boring. BUT i admit that its effective. hes fast. doesnt get hit. and just jabs at you at will to the mouth. he will beat you by points. and it wont matter if youre stronger if u cant hit the guy.

LOL it's boxing! Hit and don't get hit. 49 fights, the same complaints, the same ignorant rant on why he doesn't just stand there. Boxing is more than brute, you have to actually have a brain. It's a chess match and Mayweather is Bobby Fischer in that ring.

McGregor has never fought a fighter with Floyd's hand-speed, technique and defensive skills. What gets boring about MMA is when you have 2 fighters that know it's a stalemate to grapple or they don't have the grappling skills. From there it turns into a bad kickboxing match.

I respect MMA fighters, but it's just a completely different game in boxing. Yes, MMA is the superior fight style in anything goes, but boxing isn't 'anything goes.' McGregor won't be able to kick at his legs to set up the punches.

I think if Floyd *wants* to, he'll knock him out with ease. The issue is if Floyd is looking for the money in the comeback match. And I'm not a Floyd fan either, but as a boxer comparing him to McGregor would be like comparing Usain Bolt to a Sumo wrestler in a foot race.

Mayweather's only interested in this fight if it's boxing only. He's only interested in boxing only because he knows he needs those rules to stay alive.

He's scared. The other guy will fight him under any rules.

McGregor could dismantle Mayweather with kicks to his legs, midsection or head. He could also shoot and take Floyd down. He could also submit him. Let's not act like Mayweather is some welterweight Mike Tyson. He's a counter-puncher that wins most of his fights on stamina, incredible defensive boxing and points.
