From the agent. RT @DennisBoyev: Cowboys have claimed FB Tony Fiammetta

He was the top FB prospect in the 2009 Draft. Good blocker but he's had concussion issues.

What fool is running the ship out there at VR... Oh! Brother...

He's a good player but he is supposedly nursing a neck injury right now and that's why Carolina cut him.

Here is a visual.

1. Tony Fiammetta, Syracuse 6-0, 245
Pre-Combine Position Rank: 1
Post-Combine Skinny: He solidified himself as the top prospect with 30 reps on the bench and a 4.61 40. It was a tremendous performance.
Positives: Athletic for a fullback … Big-hitter … Extremely strong.
Negatives: Isn’t going to handle the ball … An average receiver …Not a runner

Anybody know anything about him?

Purely blocking guy or is he versatile?

it appears he had a severe concussion a week ago,i am not sure its a good thing for a FB and i doubt he will be ready by SEP 11.

I believe it was WK 1 of the preseason.

Severe concussion is not a good sign.

Hope he's better than we've seen from others.

Reading about the kid, the 40 time and bench press are impressive. Fast and strong.

His scouting report indicates he delivers mean blocks with a lot of pop. That was a knock on the FBs we had in camp - that they didn't deliver their blocks with any pop.

Looks like a good pick-up. He is also a good special teams player.

I was baffled at not keeping a FB on the roster. They had one on the field so much it didn't make sense a FB wasn't in their plans. Now I see they never intended to go without one.

Niiiiice, I'm a big fan of the guy...partially b/c he's a Syracuse boy and partly because he's a pretty versatile full back.

And we all know how Cuse fullbacks work out here in dallas :starspin:

Oh I love this pick up. Talk about a lead blocker. This kid has the upside to become as good a lead blocker as Vonte Leach. He will definitely hit someone every play.

So, who gets dropped? We know Holland got dropped for Dockery. Who for this kid because he has to go on the 53 man roster by rule?
