Espn is reporting that the Vikings will release McNabb...will the Cowboys (21st on waiver wire) beat Chicago (24th) on his claim?

Interesting.

If he does come here our receivers better invest in some shin guards for the passes he'll be firing at their feet in practice.

McNabb/Orton ..... why would we even talk about these guys unless Kitna were out for the long haul, and if that's the case why don't we put Kitna on IR?

My thought is that would have been the move had the claim for Orton been successful.

You bet! Sign him AND TO and watch the fun begin! :laugh2:

How the hell does Kitna hurt his back holding a clipboard. That's what I want to know.

As Rush said , the media was desireous for him to do well. He was overrated for years and now just stinks. He flat out quit against the Bears to lose his job. I would love if the Bears picked him up and started him!

OMG NO!!!!

This had better not happen. McNabb is not a guy we really want around here. No. No. No. Questions?

Well, if we were to claim him, McNabb would need to find a new #. Our MVP wears #5.

That's the team I expect to claim him.

But a situation like this makes me think of the Bernie Kosar signing years ago.

I didn't see that one coming either.

Kosar was a good pick up, so was Wade Wilson before that, both were solid enough.

McNabb is not half of what either of those two were as players or leaders- McNabb would simply be worse than worthless.

First of all he's an ex-eagle & he is over the hill, lazy, and inaccurate. What does he provide but his past failures?

I will say this.

I believe that this release is coming at McNabb's request. A request made with the idea of being a starter elsewhere.

If the Cowboys were to claim him, I think he would show up with a bad attitude from the get-go feeling robbed of an opportunity to start for another team.

Very interesting.

Hmm.

Kosar was only 30 at the time and ended up playing 3 more years as a backup in Miami afterwards.

McNabb is 35 and is not likely to be playing after this season.

If we claim him, it would to be a back-up for the rest of the season; then he would be a FA and could go wherever he could find a job. Where is he going to go and start right now? Houston?
