The Blame Game

I was surprised to hear that people were saying that I am not taking blame for us being 3-5. I did say in my press conference earlier today (http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/n...?story_id=14381) that "I'm definitely not the whole reason why we lost these games" and "I'm not fully [to] blame for everything that goes on around here."

But I also said, "There are a lot of mistakes I've made. [Whether] it's throws I want back, [bad] decisions, whatever it may be, there are mistakes that I've made in every game- a lot of things that you're not used to doing, a lot of things that you know you can do better. Everybody makes mistakes. But, in this situation, there's no room for error, and that goes for each individual person. There's no room for error."

I wish it were easy to find out what is going wrong – then it would be easier to fix. Have I made mistakes? Yes. Do I expect more from myself? Absolutely yes. This is truly frustrating for me because I am giving all I have in practice, in film study, and in the games. I share a passion with Eagles fans to see this team win each week. It hasn't happened as often as we'd like thus far. I haven't given up on myself, our my teammates. And I certainly haven't given up on this season.

I can't say I blame him. Its not all his fault. He's coming off an ACL tear, he's been sacked what like 30 times already, he has no recievers whatsoever, westbrook is only getting older, and his head coach has his mind on more important issues.

Yes McNabb gets all the blame in philly? Those fans are ridiculous.

I hate me some Eagles, but I've always had the utmost respect for McNabb. And believe me, I've done everything in my power to try and hate the guy, but I just can't for whatever reason. I think he's always been pretty classy.

Given how the "eat their own" in Philly, he'll be in Chicago this time next year.

McNabb is NOT a Hall of Fame QB, despite what the fans in Philly and a lot of liberal, PC sports pundits may have thought several years ago. Happy feet, injury proneness, and a classic fatal case of "the game's always on my shoulders" predestined his doom years ago.
He also has a knack for "foot in mouth" disease. He and his mommy always seem to smack of "poor Donny" whenever a stiff wind shows up, which is just a matter of time in Philly. He enjoys a good "pout" and sessions of feeling sorry for himself. He TOTALLY misjudged and mishandled the "T.O. Affair" (see "present state of Owens" for validation of this assessment). He's at least half to blame for not having a receiving tangent of Owens/Stallworth in Philly RIGHT NOW!! Again, largely due to pouting and self-pity.
He's had enough "looks" and "make-overs" to have any pocket-psychologist to conclude he 's got serious "self-esteem" problems. The beard, the long hair, the bald head, the mustache "look", etc...........make up your mind dude!!!
Anyway, he picked the wrong town to be the big baby and prima-donny that he is. They'll skin you and peel you raw in Philly, and that's exactly what's happening now. That town should open up a Jeff Garcia Emporium for all the talk about Garcia going on in Philly now. They're forming a bust of Kolb as we speak. McNubb is DONE, KAPUT, OVER in Philly, no matter WHAT happens from here on out.
McNubb and we all should have known this on draft day, when they "booed" him to oblivion when he was announced as the Eagles first pick.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy IMO....................

He's just a likable guy and he has been classey. On the nosey. Unforunately he is also the 2000s version of another well known 4 time loser. And he's not as good as he was either.

But he is good. There were a few too many deja vu moments in that game of McNabb running around back there. He just isn't quite as quick as he was. And he has no go to WRs. And only one RB who is still way good. And an OL that has seen its best days a few years ago and will never see them again. The pass rush is also history and the coach just has too many things going on to pull rabbits out of the hat this time.

Stick a fork in the Eagles. They will be done before Thanksgiving.

It's not all his fault. He didn't say anything that's not the truth. However, he still shouldn't have said it.

If he had even halfway decent receivers, that's a whole different team. He's not the issue. Not even close.

I agree completely, in terms of what their team is lacking, as well as the drama with the head coach. No way that doesn't carry over to the team somehow.

I also agree that for the most part, he is likeable. His biggest problem in my eyes is he's too thin-skinned or sensitive. Hence the mouth in foot statements like the latest. Anyone who is a serious fan knows their issues go beyond McNabb, but he has to point that out.

Also, when Owens was there, I think it killed him for Owens to get the pub and credit he got because he's never gotten over being resoundly booed on draft day from Eagles fans. Too thin-skinned and in need of approval.

Some will say that's ego, and some of it is, but I think more than anything its his inability to take any criticism. Too sensitive.
