PROPS FOR MCNABB. From Smitty of St. George, Utah: "Can we now all agree Donovan McNabb is a great quarterback? Sunday's game can be bookmarked as the big one in his career ... the game that got the 'he-chokes-in-big-games' monkey off his back.''

From SI.com (Peter King emails)

I guess that's the top of "Big Game" performances...a week 5 win over the Cowboys...You go McNabb. And of course King agreed with him.

I think McNabb is a good...really good QB, but not great...yet. And he surely hasn't won the "BIG" one yet. When that happens...hey, I'll agree.

Well, typically giving up five turnovers is considered beating yourself.

And the opposing teams defense doesnt do anything to force those turnovers, right?

Well, sometimes they do, sometime they don't.

In this case, 3 out of the 5, I'm certain they didn't. And the other 2 are debatable.

Give McNabb his due and quit obsessing about it.

What difference should it make to any Cowboy fan whether McNabb is regarded as great or not.

Our goal is to beat the Eagles pure and simple. There is absolutely no solace for me in claiming McNabb is good but not great after he just beat us.

And no we didn't beat ourselves. The Eagles clearly beat us.

How is it anymore of a credit to our team to say that Bledsoe threw a stupid pass versus the defense made a great play?

Its not like our turnovers were flukes. They were very predictable and it was obviously Philly's game plan.

You may/may not win the next one. But the next one ...win or lose will not define McNabb's abilities as your suggest. Bledsoe is a good QB ...nobody is trying to say anything bad about him. The essence of a good QB is not necessarily defined by the "win" column. His surrounding cast makes the effectiveness of a quality QB. It helps greatly if the QB is healthy of course, but the OL must be able to stop the rush ..,otherwise he's not going to produce. If the OL is medicre, and the QB is still effective ...now you are going to the next level in Qbs.

Hence, we'll keep him win or lose.

You'll hear no excuses here. If we played a perfect game, and they played a perfect game Philly still wins.

Their D line dominated our O line "any surprise there"? And there O line handled our D line for the most part. That's what it essentially came down to.

I'm just hoping that can change somehow next time.
