Then there is the draft order, which I did not decide. We opted to project the order using the inverse of Super Bowl odds from Caesars Sportsbook, though we broke some ties and tweaked the end of the order to ensure seven teams from each conference in the playoffs. That puts Houston on the clock to get things going in Round 1.

1. Houston Texans - C.J. Stroud QB Ohio St.
2. Detroit Lions - Bryce Young QB Alabama
3. New York Jets - Will Anderson Jr. DE Alabama
4. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jaxon Smith-Njigba WR Ohio St.
5. Atlanta Falcons - Jalen Carter DT Georgia
6. Carolina Panthers - Anthony Richardson QB Florida
7. Chicago Bears - Jordan Addison WR Pittsburgh
8. New York Giants - Will Levis QB Kentucky
9. Seattle Seahawks - Tyler Van Dyke QB Miami
10. Washington Wentzes - Eli Ricks CB Alabama
11. Pittsburgh Steelers - Paris Johnson Jr. T Ohio St.
12. Philadelphia Eagles (New Orleans) - Kelee Ringo CB Georgia
13. Las Vegas Raiders - Peter Skoronski T Northwestern
14. Minnesota Vikings - Bryan Bresee DT Clemson
15. New England Patriots - Noah Sewell ILB Oregon
16. Miami Dolphins - Myles Murphy DE Clemson
17. Tennessee Titans - Michael Mayer TE Notre Dame
18. Indianapolis Colts - Derick Hall DE Auburn
19. Philadelphia Eagles - Bijan Robinson RB Texas
20. Arizona Cardinals - Clark Phillips III CB Utah
21. Baltimore Ravens - Kayshon Boutte WR LSU
22. Cincinnati Bengals - Trenton Simpson ILB Clemson
23. Houston Texans (Cleveland) - BJ Ojulari DE LSU

24. Dallas Cowboys - Henry To'oTo'o ILB Alabama
The Cowboys just used a fifth-rounder on linebacker Damone Clark, who will miss 2022 because of a back injury but should be ready to roll in 2023. Even so, adding another top-flight linebacker could help free up Micah Parsons in a more versatile role in which he thrives. To'oTo'o made 106 tackles last season.

25. Seattle Seahawks - Joey Porter Jr. CB Penn St.
26. Los Angeles Chargers - Zion Nelson T Miami
27. Miami Dolphins (San Francisco) - Jahmyr Gibbs RB Alabama
28. Detroit Lions (L.A. Rams) - Tony Grimes CB North Carolina
29. Green Bay Packers - Emil Ekiyor G Alabama
30. Kansas City Chiefs - Nolan Smith OLB Georgia
31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Josh Downs WR North Carolina
32. Buffalo Bills - Marvin Mims WR Oklahoma

Keep in mind, that Stephen admitted they strongly considered drafting a RB.......I'm guessing it'll likely be a high target for the 2023 draft.

Also would think CB is right up there with Brown and Lewis both free agents

When did SJ say they considered RB?

Brown is a free event, Lewis isn’t. Lewis a is a FA after 2023 season, but I agree CB could be a fairly high priority if KJ and Wright don’t show much.

I’ll go on a limb and say that Diggs will price himself out and we will take CB in rd 1 next year

He basically ignored Jabril Cox.

Just shows that he's just another talking head that doesn't do his job...I think we all know Brugler would've IMMEDIATELY spoke of Cox being on the roster (even though Dane has flaws as well).

Disagree. We’ll bend over backwards to keep him but Lamb is not worth top WR money and the FO should know that. Diggs is a top shelf game changer.

The good news is that McShay has finally realised that the goal is to free up Micah to rush the passer, not to play off-ball LB. I was getting annoyed with his 2022 mocks justifying edge guys on the basis that they would allow Micah to play a more traditional MLB role.

Price himself out by his play or he will want to much money?

probably both
the way things are heading CBs and WRs will be asking for a boatload of money and neither is worth it since there are a ton of WRs coming out and the days of a shut down CB are gone due to rules. The way to win is the same as it has always been, look for a great QB, invest in OL and DL, play fundamentally sound football (ie get a real coach).

The Cowboys have the money to pay Diggs. The only player they will be paying next season is Dak and the salary cap will grow. If they don’t pay him hopefully they would be smart enough to trade him four draft picks.

If Bjian Robinson gets drafted by the iggles. I'm going to punch the first iggles fan I see in the face.

I guess he doesnt agree with the doom and gloomers that the Cowboys are going to fall apart this year. Sounds like he has us at least making the playoffs and winning the division.

We can only pray that jones doesnt blow another first round pick on a RB like he did before.
