It's an ESPN Insider story so I know some of you won't be able to read a lot of it, but uh...that's pretty tall praise.

He also had us as the #1 best pick of the day. Here's the quote in context:

this is a plus in many ways and just another way to prove this is a great pick. First of all, when he is not running he will help block for Romo. This keeps him on the field which also helps play action

The pass happy guys and the internet GM's guys who value cornerback more the RB are not happy reading this. EE protects the football life of Romo while offering the most immediate impact in the "Romo Window". It was the smartest pick based on that scenario. This pick puts us right back into the playoffs

Why would I not be happy reading this? First I already knew it. Second it's still a good pick. Just because we didn't draft Ramsey doesn't mean talking about Zekes positives would makes me upset.

Well you are the smart one sir

Just heard some comments on ESPN, or was it NFLN.
Saying one of the theory's behind the pick. Elliott can be an impact on every offensive play. Run, catch, block. Helps defense but keeping them off the field.
Ramsey can be neutralized by teams just not throwing his way.
Now, some will say that is a big thing. but it does not put points on the board. Ed Weder did say, the Dallas defensive coaches wanted Elliott too, as that running game in 2014. Reduced the defensive plays by 12 per game.

Give me the threat of scoring on this one.
