I'm higher on Hurst than others, but he's a good value here in the mid-to-late first round. He's highly disruptive in the middle and would be a good fit as a three-technique in Rod Marinelli's scheme. With Jason Witten turning 36 this offseason, TE Dallas Goedert could be an option here as well.

20. Detroit Lions - Isaiah Wynn G Georgia
21. Buffalo Bills - Rashaan Evans LB Alabama

23. Los Angeles Rams - Billy Price C/G Ohio St.

25. Tennessee Titans - Dallas Goedert TE South Dakota St.
26. Atlanta Falcons - James Daniels C/G Iowa
27. New Orleans Saints - Harold Landry OLB Boston College

If the board falls like that and we have our choice of Hurst, Payne or Landry I'll be stoked.

Hurst,Wynn,Payne or Evans....we see that on the board at 19...it's gonna be a good night.
I'd lean Hurst or Wynn.
If Hitch leaves...Evans may very well be the guy.

I am of the opinion that Will Hernandez is worthy of the 19th pick.
I am not familiar with Will Hernandez. Maybe I follow UTEP basketball only. But if he can solidify our OL, then I am all for it.

Watch his YouTube videos. He literally imposes his will on defenders. If it weren't for Quenton Nelson he would get 10 times more publicly.

Hurst vs Payne is going to be a good debate up until draft day, but my money is on them picking Hurst if they are both available when Dallas is on the clock. The Cowboys drafts under Garrett indicate a love of Big Ten talent and indifference towards Alabama players (zero drafted).

I’d take Payne. I see Suh when I watch him minus the cheap shots. Bama runs a two gap scheme so we never saw him get to rush much but I think he can in our one gap

I think too many people are underestimating Hurst.

Of course...they might think I am overestimating him.

Here's the question I have.
I feel like we have 4 players that are pretty good at the 3T. Collins, Irving, Crawford and Datone Jones. We have basically trash at the 1T.

Is Hurst good enough to be Aaron Donaldesque in that he improves the dline play all by himself without a quality 1T beside him?

Or would a 1T like Payne help to improve the play of the 4 mentioned above enough to warrant taking him over Hurst?

I lean toward Payne but I just don't know

Collins was playing more one tech this season due to Irving playing the three.

Irving might not be on this team when the season starts.

I think Irving was the best 3 on the team and that was why he was playing there.

Sounds like they are ok with letting him go for a draft pick. I would imagine they question his maturity and attitude...I get the feeling that they think he is kind of out there like they thought Martellus Bennett was...good player but a head case. That is just the feeling I get...I have no proof.

IN and ideal world we get Veta who I personally believe can play the one and the three when needed and if you want two pass rushers up the middle on third in a passing situation you have him and collins.

I think Payne is a One only and would be taken off the field on third downs in passing situations.

I think Hurst is a three but could stay on the field as a three if they want to play collins or another at the one.

I don't mind Payne...I just would prefer Veta or Hurst over him.

I am of the opinion that if we take a pure OG at 19, we are dumb.
