24. Jacksonville Jaguars - Dalton Kincaid TE Utah
25. New York Giants - Emmanuel Forbes CB Mississippi St.

26. Dallas Cowboys - Michael Mayer TE Notre Dame

Dalton Schultz out, Mayer in. The latter is the most complete tight end in this draft class and could be a plug-and-play starter as Dak Prescott's new security blanket. At 6-foot-5 and 249 pounds, Mayer is a legit blocker who would provide Tony Pollard with more running lanes. And while he's not much of a vertical threat, his excellent ball skills would open up the offense at the intermediate level. Mayer posted back-to-back seasons with at least 800 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, and he's a bulldozer after the catch.

27. Buffalo Bills - Jordan Addison WR USC
28. Cincinnati Bengals - Deonte Banks CB Maryland
29. New Orleans Saints - (San Fran thru Mia, Den) - Adetomiwa Adebawore DE/DT Northwestern

55. Detroit Lions (Minnesota) - Sam LaPorta TE Iowa
56. Jacksonville Jaguars - Tyrique Stevenson CB Miami
57. New York Giants - Josh Downs WR North Carolina
58. Dallas Cowboys - Trenton Simpson ILB Clemson

Despite re-signing Leighton Vander Esch, Dallas could look to add to the linebacker corps. Simpson is a good value pick for the Cowboys here, and he brings versatility, man coverage skills and range against the run.

59. Buffalo Bills - Riley Moss CB Iowa
60. Cincinnati Bengals - Matthew Bergeron T Syracuse
61. Chicago Bears (San Fran thru Car) - Byron Young DE Tennessee
62. Philadelphia Eagles - Antonio Johnson S Texas A&M
63. Kansas City Chiefs - Jonathan Mingo WR Mississippi

Overview
Big combination tight end with the demeanor for run blocking and the size for tough, chain-moving catches underneath. Mayer will come into the league with better blocking technique than most tight ends in this year’s draft. He’s built for in-line duty and was an extension of the Notre Dame offensive line at times. His feet are a little heavy getting into and through his routes, but he has the hand strength and contact balance to win heavily contested catches on the first two levels. Mayer might need to polish his route running to become a high-volume target, but he’s a safe pick and will be a good pro who can become a plus player as a run blocker and pass catcher.

Overview
Chiseled weakside linebacker with rare speed for the position to run down the action in all directions. Simpson played inside in 2022 but displayed average play recognition and a lack of patience that saw him get caught in traffic near the line. He can play run-and-hit football with his speed when playing outside. He needs to cut back the arm tackles and pursue with better angles to the ball. He’s a premium athlete capable of squeezing routes from zone and attacking the pocket as a blitzer. Simpson isn’t quite game-ready yet, but players with his traits and range eventually find the field.

I like the players but I don't think that's the direction we are going. Maybe we draft Simpson who is great value at 58 but I don't think we take Mayer over someone like Addison/Hyatt. At least it doesn't look that way from the visits.

McDonald is rising like missile. I think he might go before 26. I think he will go before Ness.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if they did something like that.

Sorry bud. Simpson looks a lot like Ezekiel Elliott….and it’s way too soon (to go through that again with no real break).

Mayer is meh in the 1st to me…but would be a giant whiff in this scenario considering what’s available when we pick.

Just yesterday I watched entire FSU game to check-out Simpson. Let's just say I'm sure he has better tape out there. I hope.

At least in this game, when assigned to mirror the QB he had no issues. Looked as if side-to-side and change of direction is not a problem. Does well in space but when engaged he was in trouble. Easily derailed when rushing the passer.

I'm basing this off one game which really isn't fair, but my impression so far is that he looks good getting off the bus and may be athletic but I'm not seeing the high grades based on my first take.

We haven't even drafted him yet and you're already hating.
