Hate to say it out loud but if we're drafting late in round 1, CB seems like a highly possible pick. Carr really doesn't do much and isn't worth his cap number. Probably a cut. Claiborne is mediocre at best. Probably won't get a second contract in Dallas.

I'd love to see Calhoun around that late, but I really doubt it actually happening.

I'm calling it now, no way Shaq Thompson lasts until the end of the 1st round.

Who would AJ Cann be an upgrade over (unless you're talking about putting him at RT)?

Agree with this. Especially after the combine, where he'll put up huge numbers and a blazing 40.

how long is leary going to play for - hes got some kind knee degeration

Ron Leary after the 2012 draft as an undrafted ... but slipped due to a degenerative knee condition.

Ron Leary can play now, might need microfracture surgery in future

According to a Cowboys source, the concern with undrafted free agent guard Ron Leary is that he has something his knee that if it pops could force him to have possible career ending microfracture surgery.

They believe the knee will hold up in the short term but the negative long-term prognosis is why the Memphis product went from a possible third round prospect to undrafted.

The Cowboys have been high on him since taking him through a private work out at the school and believe they not only signed an undrafted free agent who could make the team but who could also compete for a starting job.

Despite the chronic knee problem, Leary was consistent and reliable in college at Memphis, not to mention versatile. He started 36 straight games to end his career. As a senior in 2011, he started the first six games at left tackle and then the final six at right guard. He was recognized as the Co-MVP of the team, which is quite an honor for an offensive lineman.

"The issue for him is how long [he can play], it's not now. It's how long he can play," an ecstatic Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said of Leary. "That's why he fell the way he fell. We had our coach think he might be the readiest of any [drafted] offensive linemen."

I know about his condition, but the guy can be an All Pro when healthy. He might even be our best lineman. I definitely wouldn't replace him, but I'd be prepared in case his knee goes. That's why it's important having a guy like Bernadeau on the roster.
